Sao Paulo looks like what a non failed wealthy USA could have been.
It also feels like it has a more aesthetic urban landscape than Asian metropolis.

It looks aesthetic for sure. But I'm still scared of getting robbed there

I like when other countries have nice cities, but not the US largely because they're stupidly expensive and useless compared to suburbs. Like I get why NYC got big 100 years ago back when they dug a ton of artificial canals and river barges were way more dominant than trucks or even trains (they're still important) but now there's an extreme almost like oriental satrapy association with cities just because oil and trucks were such a game changer.

Saw Pablo has a homicide rate roughly double that of NYC
>>
>>225924906
Around 5 per 100k which is similar to NYC afaik.
But the issue with São Paulo isn’t homicide. It’s other street crime, mostly robbery. You won’t get killed, but your phone might be stolen. And it could be very fast, with it rapidly being taken from your hand, or scary, with a gun being pointed at you.

You fled your country joao

Half of Sao Paulo its a dump and the other half its split between well kept first world like streets and messy forgoten graffitied streets just like italy
