Where is France gonna get their money?
Haven't they been in a budget deficit for 50 years now?
>>
How much money did the riots cost to the city?
>>
Idk. They’ll need those state holdings for IMF bailout concessions. Brussels has already stated that the EU central bank won’t bail them out
>>
>>225903463
We'll tax the rich ou quelque chose, but cette fois for real trust
>>225903535
0 money wey, us revolutionaries do it out of love for the people
>>
>>225903463
Just borrow money until you default on your loans and crash the entire EU inner market
>>
>>225903535
Insurances covered it :) And those who didn't get special insurance packages for looting/riots can only blame themselves :)
>>
>>225903463
rich countries can get into indefinitely debt and it's ok because they are rich
>>
It's ok we'll keep buying their overpriced jets. We don't have any other option
>>
>>225903586
>>225903618
I feel fooled once again.
>>
>>225903535
A couple of millions. It’s petty pocket change compared to their real black holes that are social spending on pensions and healthcare.
>>
>>225903671
Right wing media was only showing AI edited very one sided pictures. There is nothing going on in France and people for the most part were just protesting for their rights. Small groups of rioters hid themselves within the large peacefull masses and lunged out for a quick looting. Also most looters were actually police in disguise.
Also also those saying these rioters were all immigrants are wrong: how can you tell whether they are French or immigrants by their looks? Do you know their passports? Do you know where they were born? No? Then stfu!
>>
>>225903463
money isnt fucking real. turn the printer back on, Rico. We're making the price of a loaf of bread $100.
>>
>>225903726
weak bait, i'll give you a (you) out of pity in these times of poverty
>>
I think French politicians has given up. They can’t get elected on making any sorts of cuts on public spending. They’re just waiting for the day that they default on their loans so that they can throw their hands up in the air and “whelp.. sorry people. Not up to us anymore. We have to kill the pension system and sell our state energy sector to Nvidia. GG”
>>
>>225903856
It is a summary of French posts regarding the situation.
>>
>>225903877
This is also starting to happen here lol. Like half the country are dependant on the government for their money in some way, shape or form. Be it rent assist, student allowances, pensions, public sector employment. Like half if not more of the people need gibs and will rather see the country go up in flames than not get their gibs next month.
>>
>>225903463
the frogs have lived like nobles until now so they dont want to work and pay taxes like peasants in other countries
they will bring some gold from west africa so it will be okay
>>
>>225903901
>gold
Yeah, about that...
>>
>>225903463
They will probably end up doing mass scale privatization and retreat the state from performing some functions. Which honestly doesn't sound good but can be the only option to do literally anything
>>
>>225903463
Simply borrow more :)
>>
>>225903946
It is much worse than you can imagine. They don't have pension funds like we do. Pensions of public sector workers are paid from the yearly budget.
>>
>>225903901
French workers pay the highest income tax in Europe. Employers pay the highest employment costs in the EU. That’s the problem. This is the end game. They’ve turned every rock for more money to afford to pay for their public spending. There are no other ways our other than start making major concessions or to default.
>>
>>225903463
>Greedy teachers and unions rile up New Gen mongrel humanzee frenchoids to secure more gibs
Vive la Niggeroucion!...?
>>
>>225903937
Whys that happened then
>>
>>225903463
Just import more immigrants, obviously.
>>
>>225904020
Gold is just a shiny trinket barely worth more than money. It's hilarious how so many freethinking individuals thought gold of all things was going to be our saviour.
>>
>>225903969
lmao riots of undesirables are one thing but internal revolt of system managers can legitimately bring it down
>>
>>225904039
French chud party has absolutely zero solutions to their deficit. You can’t get elected on cuts to public spending in France. French chuds are convinced that getting rid of immigrants will let them pay less taxes and get higher even pensions. It’s a political movement of brain dead retards led by grifters funded by foreign oligarchs that wants dibs on state holdings when they finally default on their loans
>>
>>225904020
It got pumped to historic highs during the economic uncertainty that came about from Trump's policies. Now that the panic has settled some the price is readjusting but as always it wont go below its starting point.
>>
>>225904152
The political party associated with the riots wants to bring back the retirement age to 60 (down from 62) btw.
>>
>>225903671
fell for it again award
not a single movement in history that got results was peaceful
>>
>>225904152
The ECB has the tools to intervene but is holding back. Lagarde has said several times that recent market moves (5%+ 10y yields) are not irrational and reflect weak French fundamentals. France has to act first. Stepping in too early would ease the pressure to reform. And since Lagarde was France's finance minister from 2007 to 2011, any purchase programme would look better launched under her successor.

The budget presented by Lecornu does contains no structural measures, targets a 5% deficit only in the most favourable scenario (already down the drain because you know what) and does not stabilise the debt. Most hard choices are pushed back to the next government. The 2027 elections add to the uncertainty, since both the far right and the far left are polling strongly and neither would be restore budget credibility. In the meantime, financing costs keep rising.

The main options are:

TPI: unlimited in size, but conditional on a credible plan to consolidate the debt and reform. Buying French bonds would also raise the question of Italy, Spain and Belgium.
Liquidity support for French banks, if the stress spreads to the banking sector.
ESM/OMT: heavy conditionality, possibly Troika-style oversight, which is politically hard to accept in France.
New QE: unlikely unless there is wider contagion, given that inflation is still high and PEPP has ended.
Monetary support can buy time, but only reforms can make the debt sustainable, and support itself weakens the incentive to reform.

Closing the gap would mean finding roughly €100–150bn a year from public-sector employment and pensions. The alternatives (immigration, wealth taxes, debt mutualisation) are wishful thinking.

France couldn't reform when rates were at 0. Dutch and German pension funds will pay for our chimpouts and then the EU dies. It's over
>>
>>225904324
Why on earth don't you have pension funds? When someone mentioned this I genuinely couldn't believe what I heard.
>>
>>225904343
We do have some but they represent very little and depend on your employer (PER - plan épargne retraite, approx 150 billion) and boomers seethe about it because the money doesn't go to them. I have like 30k on mine. I like to imagine how much more I would have if I didn't have to pay 1/4 of my salary for boomers' retierment
>>
>>225903623
france is so deep in debt they are starting to cook
>>
>>225903463
>Where is France gonna get their money?
We're not
We're going to default on the debt because faggots can't resist the allure of gibs
This is all french society btw, not just browns
>>
>>225904343
because it's easier to just vote for the government to give you shit right here and right now

public pension systems are incompatible with democracy because they create an unsolvable conflict of interest, there should've been some constitutional prohibition against them
>>
>>225904624
As stupid as they might be I cannot imagine a system worse than having no pension funds and having the government obligated to just pay pensions from the yearly budget.
>>
>>225904574
so is most of developing countries
but modern economies are so intertwined that you can't let a rich economy perish because everyone else would suffer
so just do like the USA and get into more debt
>>
>higher public spending than the Soviet Union at its peak
We’re going to see some crazy shit, the boomers will have to get that money down one day no matter what
>>
>>225904681
It's not just boomers. The government funds the majority of the country at this point.
Boomers want their pensions.
Public workers their money + 9 weeks off
Artists want their funds
Single moms need their housing + child welfare for little Jayden
Students want their money
Also infrastructure all build in the 60s-90s need replacing or massive overhauls all at once.
>>
>>225904644
yes, any kind of publicly funded or backed pension system should be banned. the second population growth stops it becomes a democratically unsolvable issue because the beneficiaries and soon-to-be beneficiaries with significant sunk cost outvote those who are actually required to support the system
>>
>>225904745
And your plan for people past retirement age is?
>>
>>225904758
Into ze euthanasia pods, their use to the government has expired
>>
>>225904758
first of all, if you can live until 90 you can probably work until 80 not 65
second, private retirement funds are fine and should be encouraged.
>>
>>225904798
>>225904758
the longevity issue is another thing I forgot to mention explicitly. it's impossible to raise the retirement ages in a public pension system in a no-growth regime
>>
>>225904758
Imagine the money we could save by just shipping them to Thailand and let them spend their golden years over there. Thai government will be paid a premium naturally (a fraction of what they would cost at home)
>>
>>225904779
>to the government
the government isn't paying their pensions, you are. or the creditors are.
>>
>>225904758
should've raised good kids so they take care of you and you give them your house (to the one that takes care of you, rest are free)
>>
>>225903463
4.5B is like nothing.
We need 1B per university extra right now.
>>
>>225904899
keep education free for foreigners
you need to save your language
>>
>>225903463
they'll sell us off
>>
>>225904324
i don't see how that's any good person's issues

if the mafia called government has budget sinkholes let them die of starvation
>>
>>225904923
Ukraine got 41B from Germany alone.
>>
>>225904758
No but really, parents agreeing to take care of their handicapped kids themselves are given generous gibs and are incentivized to do so largely because of the massive amounts of money that the state saves on assistants and the like. We need structural reforms that incentivize having mom living in a spare bedroom at your house. It’ll probably solve birthrate and housing issues in one fell swoop as well.
>>
>>225904967
>maintaining democracy in europe is costing me a little bit of my annual budget

grow up
>>

huh
that's actually not a bad idea. like you said, it work in reverse
>>
>>225904967
that's just defense spending on foederati
>>
>>225904758
We have a Employees Provident Fund, a fraction of your salary each month is taken (your employer also pays this) and then put into a fund that increases with interest
The fund can only be withdrawn after retirement
>>
>>225905001
>Soviets are europe now
>>
>>225905028
I think so to. The failing pension system, housing crisis’s born out of boomers living alone in 5 bedroom houses, birthrate collapse, etc. I think you can lay a big chunk of the blame of these on the pension system. You replaced the natural need of a family with the government being your support web (that still hinged on everyone else having families). The government should still play a role naturally. Building homes made for single people should effectively be stopped altogether. Children who keeps an elderly parent at home should be given a generous allowance. Stuff like that
>>

no it was all me actually.

Von der Leyen got spooked by Trump, now we have to spend money on military equipment that will rot for decades in some hangar.
Meanwhile europe will get dumber because less money for science and school kids die of hypothermia in class.
>>
>>225903463
Wait, so French high schoolers actually went out protesting because they weren't getting enough lessons? They wanted more teachers and fewer cancelled classes? I thought students usually protested for less school, not more. Lmao.

the biggest advancements in science came about when it wasn't even a proper job
school only makes people more retarded

They don’t. They don’t even have their currency to inflate their debts away. They were afraid of Germans chimping out so much that they decided to lay in boat with them together and now they’re sinking with almost no free will.
>>
>>225904324
The way things are going, the Troika will probably end up stepping in in 15-20 yrs anyways
>>225904612
France isn't going to default dumb frog, Germany would rather a trillion immigrants come in and prop up the taxbase than allow France to collapse and take down the giant captive market of the Eurozone
>>
>>225905242
>Building homes made for single people should effectively be stopped altogether.
actually not a bad idea either. you get married, you get a huge deposit for a house, otherwise you fucked
>>
>>225905519
Can't peacefully protest when both sides have guns. Only if the citizens appear as nice target and the government can kill. Also French even built their city with long streets ideally to fight protesters.
Albanian protests looked nice, they have beautiful white police tanks and the protesters shot colorful fireworks.
>>
>>225904324
RN could privatize large portions of the State services. They already tried to privatize France TV

But uncle sam needs to creep up on Russia for bay of pigs, to put up a nuke up Putins ass. You wouldnt get it.

I wouldn't be surprised if France is the first Euro country to fall. It's only a matter of time until we get the French Revolution 2.0 version des nègres
>>
>>225903856
he's right.
neoliberal governments poison any and all civic movements with elements of the unorganised radical anarcho-leftists in order to paint the picture using the media they own that any and all protests are not actually valid means of objecting to the state of things but instead and opportunity to loot stores and set cars on fire by people's who for some unknown reason are only interested in breaking other people's property.

That's why it's so important to go out on the street whenever something happens. Because it's impossible to convince the public that EVERY SINGLE protest is caused by negroes with bricks.
>>
The money doesn't belong to the French government. It's raping it from more taxpayers. They're happy to "concede." So you get your city destroyed by niggers, so that the gov mafia will rape you of more of your money. Great deal.

tl;dr don't let niggers into your country

I noticed this when I visited Paris, after all their revolutions in the late 18th and 19th centuries, it strikes me as very interesting that Haussmann's Paris has all these wide avenues perfect for maneuvering an army through the city streets and launching cavalry charges without getting crowded up
>>

Since the Macon government took power French billionaires got a total of 300 billion in tax breaks. The consequence? Huge budget deficit, lackluster growth and Spain falling behind Spain in HDI rankings.

You sound like an idiot if you think that tax breaks for billionaires are a better investment than functioning schools.

France falling behind Spain.*

Ten years ago my highscool was already a mess, our french teacher was a bitter depressed old lady who stoped working, we had no class for two months so the school decided to hire a replacement teacher for the year. Lucky for us we got a young one, a smoking hot babe, tall raven haired, blue eyes. She would make us read french classics thank to her i started reading Le rouge et le noir and like the main character I was in love with an older lady. Every class with her was a nightmare for me, her voice was enough to turn my dick on. Because of her I started reading and she ruined my taste in women forever. Thanks for reading my blogpost

Government borrowing has been a veeeery slow train crash for decades. Everyone can see that the situation is unsustainable while being so slow that no one wants to take responsibility.
