How is cycling perceived in your country?

I'll begin:
>Japan
Cycling is "weird", but only because it is considered inconvenient and dangerous. It's said that only dumb people do it. Nonetheless, the ratio of cyclists:cars on Japanese roads is quite high (maybe 1:2), compared to Western roads (maybe 1:35)

Also, people here use "cycling/サイクリング" to refer to recreational cycling, instead of using the word as a general term for riding a bicycle.

it's common and people go to work with their bicycle, cars dont like you, most cities aren't that cycling friendly and lately e-bikes and electric scooters started dominating the streets/bike paths

Hey, gaijin_san, don't talk about Japan based on a superficial understanding. Cycling isn't considered strange in Japan. It's common to ride a bike to the station for work or school, and it's also a popular leisure activity.
>>
It's seen as odd because you should be driving. Also people might think you're poor or lost your license due to drunk driving

Wait a minute, aren't you supposed to be asking about anal sex?

Bikes and other apparatuses that go too fast don't really fit into the traffic. I have a two mile commute, tried picrel for some months and realised that the instant I go over 10km/h everything gets fucky and annoying.
Then I moved on to actual motorbike, albeit the motorbike being electric one but nonetheless I had to get into the Real Traffic in order to not lose my mind.

It's about the cycling with that type of bicycle which is used by dumbasses on highways o algo, not the usual cycling-to-school or workplace

I've never experienced roadrage in my life until I went to the Netherlands and accidentally walked on a cycling lane. Those Dutch don't mess around.

I like cyclists but only if they're fit women who wear tight fitting spandex while also wearing the tudung (hijab). There's many of them on the hilly old Gombak-Bentong road. I like to follow them from behind in my car and oogle their shapely butts and boobs.
