People that go to university don't become bum manga artists
>>
uni means you're trying to get employed
which is very unrelatable

High school is about being a human being
University is about becoming a mindless wagecuck robot

Anime was originally mainly aimed at teenagers just like cartoons were
Now that zoomers are braindead and are a bunch of manchilds which is why you see them reaching 40 and childless, anime is more popular than ever, yet they still retain their highschool formula.

There is almost no high school anime in the 1980s btw there was almost no high school slice of life in the 90s as well. They had a delinquency problem so perhaps they used anime as propaganda to make teenagers like high school. Otherwise I have no idea because it's not a consistent trend.

maybe because a lot of anime artists are dropouts o algo. so the latest point where them and their peers are united and share a common universal pan-japanease experience is highschool.

this is askin to american collage/highschool movies/shows or israeli stuff set in an army office setting

High school setting is like writing a story about rock band members; it's natural for the members to stick together all the time
They may have intense drama if the band struggles with playing well
But university setting is like writing a story about solo pianists; what's the convincing explanation for four or five pianists hanging with each other all the time when they're supposed to have a different concert schedule and different repertoires plus they don't need the other pianists to practice?
They're not supposed to have intense drama because it's not their business when the other pianist sucks at playing piano
Now you got the picture

I have watched university anime and their character are still immature children. You can get away that with highschool more, so I guess that's why.
>>
>>225895254
Because anime is for children

It's the only stage of their life where they are still allowed to be humans.
