those numbers are fake af
just in the last 2 years more than several hundred people in Spain died on train desasters.

those numbers are so fake
>>
>>225888005
this is just a trains x people / area function

Are railways that dangerous? I thought they were supposed to be safe. we don't really use railroads much down here.
>>
Only like 10 people travelling by train have died in the last decade here, "w tym wśród pasażerów" in the picrel.
It's overwhelmingly people getting on the crossings by accident ("wypadki") and suicide attempts ("samobójstwa i próby samobójcze") driving our number up.
Like, all those people should be more considerate if they want to kill themselves. Such disregard for the comfort and time of others.

The poles will do anything for a bit of izzat

The railways test your IQ when you cross them and if it's too low you get stuck on them
>>
>>225888378
When you're in a train you're perfectly safe. When you decide you can speed through a corssing in your small car before the train comes you might not be
>>
>>225888005
10% of all train passengers might die every year in the EU but at least they have a very high HDI o algo
>>
>>225888070
yes, that would put us at around 500, but because the period considered is 2015-2024, the number is below 400.
>>
Most of these deaths are caused by people killing themselves on the tracks so basically suicides
I wish I had trains where I live (although we had here but bus companies messed it up)
>>
>>225888378
If they're operated well and there aren't too many railway intersections, they're very safe. But if you start to penny-pinch in rails, trains, bridges and tunnels you will eventually end up in disasters totalling hundreds of deaths. Also suicide by train/sub is fairly common. Cars will still probably kill more, it's just that thousands of car crashes and hit and runs won't hit the news.

Used to be when shit like this was largely undocumented except for maybe a news report or two but smartphones made it largely documented

indians are amateurs in that regard

Yes, we have T-r-a-i-n-s, they are also a darwing test to clear off people who are careless by using earphones all the time or old people that can't bother checking their surroundings.
