The lands then stayed under German control until 1945. So if you want to count by how long the territories we're under a given state's control by 1945, it's roughly 150 and 350 years in Poland, compared to 800 and 600 years under the HRE/Prussia/Germany. If you want to include the tribal period before that, you can add another ~500 years for the slavs/poles, and an unknown timespan somewhere in the hundreds of years for the germanics/Germans
