Limits tourism so you need to pay 200 dollars a day and hire a guide to go there. Has banned mountaineering so their highest peak, Gangkhar Puensum (pic rel), is also the highest unclimbed mountain in the world. They have sold an image of themselves as some peaceful utopia that measures their worth in "gross national happiness" instead of GDP, but they literally had a genocide in the 90's lol. I've heard many people who go there say Nepal is better in pretty much every aspect, but I've never been so I can't say.
