>the top 1% owns 50% lf the world's wealth
meanwhile here I am wageslaving everyday in costa rica, also humans are pretty shit in general, life is objectively not that good
>>
>>225872613
Thats right. I OWN YOU now dance for me you little monkey
>>
Most browns and whites with brown mentality (leftists) fail to understand most wealth these days is simply stock valuation, because they don't understand economics they feel robbed when they hear Musk made another trillion dollars when that's not realized wealth but basically what people are willing to pay for his shares.
>>
>>225872613
Anytime anyone ever brings up shit like this they want to enact socialism which in practice is worse
>>
>>225872708
i just want to see the rich have their stuff taken away, i don't even want anything in return
>>
>>225872693
How does that make wealth inequality better
>>
>i suffer in costa rica
here we go
you live in PARADISE
god forbid you can't afford a rolex or a bmw, woe is you
>>
>>225872722
That's some retarded crabs in a bucket mentality. You should at least have a better motivation than petty greed.
>>
>>225872745
Nuh uh if we just ban billionaires from existing then all my problems will go away stop being a chud >:(
>>
That being said, they can go to a bank a take a billion dollar loan to spent it on a houses, cars, yachts, etc because they're covered, that's how they avoid paying personal income tax, once you're rich enough you can ironically afford to be financially broke almost indefinitely.
>>
>>225872729
You can give a homeless man a Picasso but if he's only able to sell it for a hundred bucks at a pawn shop, then that's its value. Maybe he likes it so much and decides to keep it, he is now a millionaire, his wealth inequality solved, right?
>>
>>225872722
I'm so glad I'm just lazy and not prone to envy. Envy actually seems like the most destructive vice.
>>
>>225872757
I mean we have some decent evidence some rich people are raping and eating children, that's a better motivation than "he has more than me!"
>>
Wealth inequality is a post-modern problem, a moral issue similar to people drinking alcohol (prohibition) or AI making cp.
>>
>>225872832
Just because for the ultra rich most of their money is on paper doesn't mean wealth inequality isn't a problem.
>>
>>225872693
Pretentious pseudo-intellectual way of explaining the same thing
>>
>>225872613
apparently one of the happiest places on earth btw
>>
>>225872745
i'm a bonafide hater, idgaf
>>
>>225872693
If you can take a loan against the value of those assets like the billionaires do then it is still an extremely valid form of wealth and wealth inequality is still a thing
>>
>>225872932
It's not money until it's realized, think Nokia, that wealth is not troubling you anymore
>>
>>225872832
Genuinely what the fuck are you even trying to say?
People aren't paid their wages in items with speculative market values, they're paid in currency that has a rigid value and purchasing power. Likewise, even the world's richest people who have the majority of their net work tied up in non-liquid assets still have hundreds of millions, even billions in readily available liquid funds. Executives are paid salaries of tens of millions of dollars. None of this applies to your retarded Picasso hypothetical.
>>
>>225872971
Perhaps, but it's just a fraction of it, so the inequality in real terms is also reduced.
>>
>>225872613
Costa Rica is a rich tropical paradise with high HDI
>>
>>225873036
Wealth inequality is not the same as income inequality, the former became the leftist talking point in first world countries because it has better (or worse, depending on who you ask) optics, while income inequality is the usual debate in developing ones.

It's somehow a very common mindset amongst poor nonwhite people that defending the ultra rich is the first step they need to take towards becoming rich themselves and escaping their shithole countries. See how much Indians worship Elon for example. The idea of this Peruvian anon posting about how wealth inequality isn't an issue from his leaking corrugated metal shack is both equal parts funny and depressing.
It's stuff like this that makes me believe browns don't have an internal monologue or souls.
>>
>>225873028
And again that still doesn't make wealth inequality not a problem.
>>
>>225873198
Anything can be a problem with the right (or wrong) perspective

btw, I remember believing it was an Korean company, I guess I was not entirely off
>>
>>225873240
Quite a meaningless statement
>>
>>225873298
Is that a problem too?
>>
Wealth distribution is not intrinsically more problematic than other distributions, like IQ or forested area or world cups
>>
>>225873314
Yes
>>
>>225872745
richoids are by definition not part of the crabs in the bucket demographic in this analogy
