southern US, latin american, and spanish are a phenomenal grouping but I think it loses overall to italian and most of middle and eastern asian cuisine

think the entire point is to not include countries hosting other cultures food or else it falls apart. In a major city like atlanta you can get authentic cuisine made by first generation immigrants from anywhere in the world within manageable distance from you but id say the chunk including the southern US would only include cuisine the south is known for like BBQ, soul food, low country boil, low country seafood, louisiana creole and faux french, and desserts like apple pie, brownies, and funnel cake

still a great spread and in the spirit of the thought experiment
