If they went back to old beauty standards Chinese would start footbinding and Japanese would start valuing tall foreheads, no bangs, and slanted eyes. Also whites aren't pale, but Asians are definitely not pale either they buy a ludicrous amount of whitening products they're naturally on the browner side.
