Do you have any /int/ related hobbies? For me it's designing flags.
Nice flag
>>225848110Thanks. Here's another I made.
>>225848125That one looks good too
Do you also make up lore for them?
>>225848103no
>>225848103that's just prague>>225848125that's just iceland
>>225848464Unfortunately my autism goes way deeper. I make up entire languages, maps, and histories for them. Sometimes I sit at my desk for hours making up fake medieval kingdoms and writing their histories into the modern age.
>>225848103I used to design flags too lol
>>225848574I like this one a lot, it feels like you're trying to hypnotize me into joining the crusades.
>>225848103>>225848125Nice flags. I wonder why purple is so rarely used in flags.>>225848534That's cool though, maybe you can make a D&D scenario or something with it.
>>225848600Thanks.it was a flag i made for united hispaniola, the colors came from herehttps://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:Coat_of_arms_of_spanish_hispaniola_by_spamlet_de7sjd9.pngand the pattern came from santo domingo (first city in hispaniola and in the americas)https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Escudo_de_armas_de_Santo_Domingo
>>225848605>I wonder why purple is so rarely used in flags.I always heard that color was harder to source, so it was more rare, that's why only royalty ever wore purple clothing. That being said, I completely agree that purple should be more common on flags nowadays. It's a great color.>>225848665This is awesome.
>>225848534I don't believe you to be honest UNLESS you grant me a peak into your autism
>>225848605>>225848722purple primarily came from Tyrian dye iirc, which is hard to sourcethough there are still plants they can get the color from, I wager the dye would just easily fade out into blue if used on flags
>>225848774The flag from the OP pic is for the Grand Duchy of Perunia & the Bendean Piedmonts (in Perunian: Méhei Dukata je Perunija i Bendei Podgoras) sits at the crossroads of Slovenia, Austria, and Italy, directly in the Triplice confine. It is a cluster of ridges, passes, and foothill settlements around the real mountain Peč (Monte Forno/Dreiländereck). Perunian chronicles and oral history name Leopold I (reckoned to have ruled c. 1187-1221) as the first ruler to assemble the upland estates into a single hereditary lordship. His paternal inheritance consisted of a fortified Carinthian valley and its toll road and through his mother he acquired neighboring Slovene speaking settlements. Marriage into a Friulian family secured access to a southern trade route. This compact territory lies amid overlapping secular and ecclesiastical jurisdictions. Leopold was remembered less as a conquerer than a negotiuator who recognized that a secure pass, workable bridge, and defensible charters could matter more than a large army.According to later dynastic tradition Leopold maintained his possessions by offering safe passage and limited feudal service to whichever powerful neighbor could guarantee local peace. His successors claimed that this formed the beginning of Perunian neutrality though the account is a national legend rather than documented historical event. With the early ducal settlement was the common toll schedule for merchants, protection of mountain pastures, and a charter requiring arbitration among competing village courts.

>>225848939interesting!aside from tiny countries, have you ever replaced a large swath of land?when I was a teenager I tried doing this alt hist thing where there was this big country that took up pretty much half of Poland, Ukraine, and Belarus from 1500s-modern times but I got bored before I could flesh the whole thing out because "adjusting" history for such a big area was a pain and I was obsessed with accuracy lol
>>225848939I kneelis Perunian a slavic language?
>>225848991Yes, I took the hypothetical concept of Proto-Altaic and made it into its own branch with multiple dialects spanning across pic related.>>225849023It has Slavic, Germanic, and Romance influence but is in its own isolated branch of Indo-European, much like Greek, Armenian, and Albanian, though nearly every citizen speaks German, Italian, and Slovene. Here's a sample of it (the Lord's Prayer):Mei Pára, či jez sim nebas,Sántei jez tei noma.Gven tei rýžna.Ez tei volja kirei,um déga kat sim nebas.Da nam dénei béršan iza dína,i pardón nam nostros kulpas, kat ima pardónem itans či kulpen nam.I nín vod iman sim tentáca,njem líber iman je duša.Amen.
>>225849112Apologies, nostros should be imarei here. I was working on a Romance conlang just a few hours ago and my brain was still in that mode.
>>225849112I genuinely want to know more but its 5 in the morning here and I need to sleeepyou should make another thread sometime
>>225849208Good night fren. Thank you for your interest.
