They are my favourite animals.
>>
we dont have them IMC
>>
We have a lot of them here, they aren't really that scary in my opinion they are like more scaredy dogs, they also howl a lot at night (I think they also have beef with wild boars here but not sure)
>>
>Coyotes be like

I think they're very cute. I've only seen a coyote in the wild once though, even though they're allegedly everywhere in my area.
>>
>>225815746
not really. it gives me goosebumps when i hear a group of them howling at night. but they're actually kind of small sized dogs. they are typically afraid of people unless they have rabies. they get into chicken coops and rabbit hutches, etc.
At least they aren't wolves, though. wolves are huge.

Those are jackals, different animal
>>
>>225819406
coyotes do it too, and sometimes even wild cats like bobcats. any carnivore likes to sniff them out and break in. even raccoons or possums, occasionally.
>>

I look like that

proof?
>>
>>225822779
That's because they are nocturnal. I live in the foothills of s.w. Oregon and there are coyote everywhere, but you don't see them in the day time unless something is wrong like they are sick or starving. Their chain of yipping and screeching at night is so damn loud.

Fences are needed.

>>

Coyotes already lived in Mexico before the Spanish arrived?
>>
>>225825278
All canids originated in North America dummy
>>
>>225815746
I live in a mountain suburb and we have urbanized coyotes here. They're funny. They'll hang out in front of restaurants and stores at night and hope people leave food. I saw one dragging a pizza the other day.
>>
>>225825278
The Aztec literally had furfag coyote soldiers.
>>
>>225825544
Everyone likes pizza.
>>
>>225815746
Yeah, I used to be scared of them when I was little because my rancher uncle used to tell me they were dangerous like wolves, but in reallity they're just wilderness dogos
>>
Yes they are cute I love them
>>
sure! they are part of the world
>>

>>
>>225815746
Loud weird ass dogs who just randomly make it impossible to sleep by trying to summon primordial spirits with their eerie howl all night long
>>
>>225824444
Small canids can be way better at climbing than you think, and they just dig and scramble under chickenwire
>>
>>225815746
Theyre cute in photos but I think I've only seen one or two IRL before.
My childhood home backed up to a wildlife refuge that had tons of them. I could hear them at night but never really saw them
>>
>>225837245
Well I'm sure America has managed to come up with good coyote solutions. We don't have them, but you do have the time and means to solve it. How about bigger and stronger fences?
>>
>>225815746
We have only jackals and wolves
>>
>>225839466
I thought jackals were from Africa.

>Yes, a child has been fatally killed by a coyote in the United States.
>Kelly Keen: On August 26, 1981, three-year-old Kelly Lynn Keen was dragged off her property and fatally wounded by an urban coyote in Glendale/Los Angeles, California, before her father could rescue her. This remains the only confirmed fatal coyote attack on a child (and human) in U.S. history.
>Other Fatalities: A 19-year-old folk singer, Taylor Mitchell, was fatally mauled by eastern coyotes in Canada in 2009, which is the only other known fatal coyote attack on a human.
Literally a non-issue
