Artists need to stop putting their work online. We need to go back to meat space, irl events and local networking. Anything online is going to be scraped and used for ai training while we don't get anything for our labour. What is the point of uploading art now? To grow an audience? LOL the majority of traffic is now ai bots anyway, 4scams, plebbit, ig, fagbook, gooktok, are all majority bots now, dead internet theory is now reality. The future of the internet is ai bots and losers, normal people with healthy brains are going to wake up to the reality of the internet and leave. Artists need to stop uploading and start leaving. Just look at the current pathetic state of reddit, they got rid of viewing users post history and old reddit to make it harder to spot the bot. Companies are trying hard to make people not notice that their platforms are full of clankers. If Artists stop uploading work and just try to generate local networks and show in galleries instead then ai will have nothing to train on anymore. Human art will continue to innovate and thrive while ai slop will devolve into gibberish.Either way, regardless of what you do with your work you should value it as human made original work will be rare as more people lose the skills and discipline to practice art, don't give away your labour for free, it has value. It's not 2001 anymore, the old internet is dead.
>>8072318I do agree. It's a bit hard to find places to share my art where I live (Czech republic), but seeing someone appreciate your work right in front of you is a thousand times better than any online validation. Social media is just not a dignified place for art and I wish that some day, it won't be the main avenue for sharing art anymore.
>>8072318>Anything online is going to be scraped and used for ai training while we don't get anything for our labourPeople can look and learn from art you display offline for free, too.CBA that AI learns from me, it already learned from better masters. This feeble resistance is at least 4 years too late.
>>8072348You're either a clanker or a retardNobody cares if other people learn from seeing someone else's art, we care about ai companies not paying us for our data. People create art naturally, an ai is systematically created to generate slop for profit of the company, cutting out any artist being compensated at all. Everyone will make money but the artist. In what world is that a sustainable market for human generated workbto continue for ai to train off of?As far as ai being trained on "better masters" that is about as dumb of a response as it gets. Ai will just generate past styles forever without access to newer ones made by real people.
>>8072358>Nobody cares if other people learn from seeing someone else's artIt's not about the seeing part alone I wrote specifically "seeing and learning".The artist is cut out by copycats as well, or by people who just learn a part of the artist''s technique, color choice, subject choice...Some don't have the shame to entirely copy the entire IP. You will see every week some Warhammer 40k art posted here and John Blanche gets no cut.> In what world is that a sustainable market for human generated workbto continue for ai to train off ofI don't think AI needs that much more data, though the developers would be happy to have it-> Ai will just generate past styles forever without access to newer ones made by real people. And yet an artist could draw a copy from memory of a style he has seen before and feed it AI or describe it to AI or take a sample without having it be on the internet to show the AI.Go on call me retard and as-dumb-as-it-gets, but know: the retard is you. In the truest sense of the word "delayed". It's over.
>>8072394Wrong again bot, copycat artists were hacks who typically just got the legit artists' left overs. Nobody was going to rip off Leyendecker or James Jean or Yoshitaka Amano or whomever and undercut their market to the point where those artists could no longer make a living.Go ahead and leave voice notes to an ai bot about what the simpsons looks like to an llm trained exclusively on impressionist paintings top fuckin kek, your llm doesn't actually think or reason bud. You can draw it yourself but you'd have to be actually able to draw accurately and on model to train it properly. Good luck with that.
nobody is buying your zine tranny
artists much better than me keep making and sharing stuff, so I'll follow their examplejeets will keep defecating on the street, humans will keep drawing and painting, nothing really changes
>>8072399>copycat artists were hacks who typically just got the legit artists' left oversand how is this different from AI?>Nobody was going to rip off Leyendecker or James Jean or Yoshitaka Amano or whomever and undercut their market to the point where those artists could no longer make a living. And even in the age of AI, established artists make a living. Who knows how many artists lost potential income over undercutting copycats of a specific style. As a small example: The Darkest Dungeon style (which itself is a Mike Mignola derived style) has now been imitated by dozens of human artists who made good money off it.>botyou clearly know I am not a bot, so why do you say this? Do you realize how disingenuous and butthurt this makes you look?>Go ahead and leave voice notes to an ai bot about what the simpsons looks like to an llm trained exclusively on impressionist paintings top fuckin kek, your llm doesn't actually think or reason bud.then what exactly is your problem?
>>8072412The most obvious of botsThe issue is establishing yourself as an artist now is an insurmountable task given what ai is currently doing. It's only going to get worse. See link for examples of artist waking up to the reality of what is going on today.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdrDiajxPN0/
>>8072318Artists under 40 are all of the same annoying fags from the internet though
>>8072419>https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdrDiajxPN0/very tragic and criminal. Of course this happened before AI, done by humans.perhaps streamlining persecution would be the actual course of action instead of going off the grids or pretending you could put the jinn back in the bottle.>The most obvious of botsYou might actually believe it. I always wondered whether people say this as an insult or actually think they talk to a machine. I see it very often in comment sections of political bubbles where they don't seem to comprehend that a person could possibly disagree with them. Cyberpsychosis.
>>8072424I scrolled a bit through the comments:>Social media should be held accountable for being an accomplice in stealing your artwork>I'm so fkn frustrated!!!!!!! REGULATE AI NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I wonder: why not do the obvious and hold the creator of the content accountable? Because the people want more than justice for the artist: they also want to control content of all kind. The IP-theft gets extended to also cover "dissident" content. Statists hate free speech and have spun the evil techbro narrative for a long time, which now interweaves with a rebellion against AI.
All these threads bumped.https://youtu.be/kivUsDGWojU?si=IoHwu1j5PYF1S8RX much?
>obviously create the problem>to propose the solution>"hehe stupid stinky poopy artists will go and we AIgawds will remain... WAIT SAAR DO NOT SCAM ME BLOODY I SCAM U BLOODY BASTER!"why do you need others to go along with you? just fuck off and let the competition get fucked like it's """"supposed""" to happen2 more weeks amirite?
the fuck is that guy even saying? the bots on this board are even worse than I thought, which just highlights why real people, not just artists, need to get tf off the internet. which is what I’m gonna do right now. Later clankers and de-skilled beg faggots.git gud bros gg
