How do you draw attractive character? There must be some secret to it.
>>
>>8061006
What do you find attractive?
>>
>>8061006
1. learn to draw (fundamentals)
2. learn to stylize (break down what you've learned)
3. experiment with trial and error until you are satisfied with the results

also known as JUST DRAW instead of partaking in mental gymnastics on 4chan

Step 1: draw a child

those characters have passed the quality test from the whole animation studio before being published, you don't just wing it. drawing is iterative process

Well first sound advice is don't copy whoever drew those characters.

I lost the post but supposedly having attractive characters on your second monitor helps.
Not even as direct reference but the presence of beauty helps it be imbued into your work.

be attracted to something. chase after it with your pen.

You need to check the original design by the character designer. It actually look quite different from the end product. Not because it wasn't finalized. Somehow in the process of character design -> anime, someone intervened and changed their face, made the thigh thicker, and stuff like that. We'll never know what actually happened.

In what sense? Like in rick and morty? Ugly background people and supporting characters to make the main ones look better?
>>
>>8061006
What's with you merikens and your incapability to draw the beauty of human being?
Why are you merikens trying so hard to make the world ugly?
>>
>>8061418
Just compare that meriken guy's art with Araki's.
Same realistic artstyle but Araki draws them beautifully like David while the meriken draws disgustingly like Grounded in the Stars.

>minor changes to style
>500000% improvement
It was part mindblowing part depressing
why the fuck didn't I do it earlier?

>anime head with regular female body
Japan had it figured out decades ago. Walt Disney came close.
>>
>>8061006
What do you mean ?
If you would fap on it then it's considered attractive if you won't then it's not.

The big problem with a lot of capeshit art styles these days is that artists in the industry aren't regularly studying cartoons...and they aren't regularly drawing from life (actual people and sculptures) either. The industry also pressures artists to fit the contemporary in-house style which is not only excessively detailed, but the colorists and inkers are also told to push for extra detail (which is bad because the inkers and colorists aren't as effectively trained as they should be, which results in shitty art).

Older artists would draw from life, photographs, and cartoons/comics. The style was simpler because of logistics and the acceptance that comics were for kids.
