Are there any resources, channels, courses or whatever that deal with the process of actually producing original paintings, eg market research, deciding on a subject, size, composition, color composition etc?
NOT some theorytard rambling about geometry and made up bullshit, actually producing paintings
    >>
    >>8058604
Thats a bunch of vague ideas. Theres countless resources online to learn how to paint. I would focus on looking inward and figure out what subjects you want to paint. Thats not really something you can gain from a course or whatever. Its from within

    ? that's retarded, it's not that serious

market research: look at artists you like who are successful in the market and take ideas from them
    subject: something popular
size: something manageable so you aren't left with a gigantic painting if it doesn't sell (probably wont if youre asking this question)
    composition: depends on the subject
    >>
this is what happens when you start the thread with too old feet
    >>
    >>8058604
noe of your examples deal with producing original paintings and everything you dismsiss has to do with producing original paintings.

Commercial art strategies lol. That's whats holding you back. You simply haven't found the proper instructional to explain commercial art strategies while also telling you which subject to paint. And of course - you wouldnt want to paint like Rockwell! Duh! Bringing up magazines is a curve ball. Probably evidence of the third world shit hole you come from

Yes. Even if the ear was abnormally stiff - rats run with a leaping gait. Theres no fucking way that ring is staying there. Theres a million explanations for how a finger could get chopped or bitten off. The location of the ring also pushes a narrative. If its on the ground, below the rats it implies nobility has fallen and chaos has taken over. Or in OPs case, its adorned like a crown which could be pushing the rat himself as a sort of Redwall villain who now has power.

just watched it. it's pretty basic black pill material, it will be considered settled scientific fact in 10 years. the idea that women ever cared about "personality" is laughable, even ancient greeks and romans wrote about how this is delusional bullshit and laughed at people who jestermaxxed for whores

the white or clear pill which took me 10 years of being giga turbo blackpilled to realize is that since, there's zero chance of the current situation changing in any way, and nothing we do or say will change it in any way, that means there's no point talking about it or wasting time thinking about it anymore
if you can't give a clear reasoning for why x bad situation will change (and in this case, it won't, it will just get worse and worse until polygamy is normalised for chads) then there's no point discussing it or caring in any way.

it's kind of like immigration. the basic fact, even putting aside kalergi plan barbara spectre stuff, is that elites and business owners (medium and large businesses like farmers ranchers construction companies) want to use foreign workers as leverage to drive down domestic workers bargaining rights and be able to replace them if they try to unionize or organize in any way against their business interests.
unless that fact changes (it won't) there's zero point arguing about or trying to discuss the topic, because what happens is when you point this out, people don't want to hear about it and they get angry and try to take away your opportunities

it's the same when you read news stories about train doe whorenell giga stacy snizzat loss, or whatever foid of the week news story or dumb lib shit is being put out for the goyim to slurp up. there's no point discussing how stupid and retarded liberals are because they will just find a way to attack you, and there's also no chance of it changing because the underlying forces aren't political but technological (or "forces of capitalism" )

I really like the atmosphere, and the colour choices (and I can tell how into the painting you got and that's always interesting in how it shows) but I think your value range is too narrow, which makes the painting flatter than it feels like it could be. I think the composition is solid, but if you were to ever revisit this I'd try to make stronger tonal differences between your foreground and middle, maybe commit harder to the red and warmer tones you've got going on in the foreground trees so the illusion of depth becomes more convincing.
That said, this is only a problem I can identify because it's something I struggle a lot with too, so take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm far from any mastery and it's typically the most common criticism I get with my own stuff.

How do you deal with the paper transferring step in trad? It has to be the most annoying aspect of trad.
You want to have a good paper but you don't want to sketch on it. It's just so annoying always having to redo the lines just to transfer a drawing onto good paper. This always just makes me do sketches and never do color works.

I'm pretty sure Steve Zapata had a video on that subject, but i can't find it. Maybe he references it in this stream though.

It seems like holbein is changing their initial pbr7 pigment to pr101 synthetic iron oxide for their burnt watercolor paint (sienna and umber) formulation following schmincke and winsor newton footsteps.
While the synthetic version of this specific pigment is transparent, clean, and have its lightfastness and permanence guaranteed, but it tends to lose a bit of granulation and other natural earth characteristics that pbr7 had in its paints. So if youre a HWC user and happen to use their burnt umber and burnt sienna, you'd probably want to know about this

Don’t even acknowledge those people, it’s exactly why these threads turn into shit flinging competitions with barely any actual art posted. There’s always gonna be someone with something to say, and it’s better to just ignore them.
