Yo wtf happened to the unmoved mover goys? Has he been lacking lately? And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause
>>18767153Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth,Before the [a]difficult days come,And the years draw near when you say,“I have no pleasure in them”:While the sun and the light,The moon and the stars,Are not darkened,And the clouds do not return after the rain;In the day when the keepers of the house tremble,And the strong men bow down; When the grinders cease because they are few,And those that look through the windows grow dim; When the doors are shut in the streets,And the sound of grinding is low; When one rises up at the sound of a bird,And all the daughters of music are brought low. Also they are afraid of height,And of terrors in the way; When the almond tree blossoms,The grasshopper is a burden,And desire fails. For man goes to his eternal home,And the mourners go about the streets.Remember your Creator before the silver cord is [b]loosed,Or the golden bowl is broken,Or the pitcher shattered at the fountain,Or the wheel broken at the well. Then the dust will return to the earth as it was,And the spirit will return to God who gave it.“Vanity of vanities,” says the Preacher,“All is vanity.”
>And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the Lord in Gilgal.1 Samuel 15:33
>>1876715312 I, the Preacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. 13 I applied my heart to seek and to search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under the sky. It is a heavy burden that God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and behold, all is vanity and a chasing after wind. 15 That which is crooked can’t be made straight; and that which is lacking can’t be counted. 16 I said to myself, “Behold, I have obtained for myself great wisdom above all who were before me in Jerusalem. Yes, my heart has had great experience of wisdom and knowledge.”17 I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also was a chasing after wind. 18 For in much wisdom is much grief; and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.
>>18767153“Or can you pull in the sea beast, Leviathan, with a fly rod and stuff him in your creel? Can you lasso him with a rope, or snag him with an anchor? Will he beg you over and over for mercy, or flatter you with flowery speech? Will he apply for a job with you to run errands and serve you the rest of your life? Will you play with him as if he were a pet goldfish? Will you make him the mascot of the neighborhood children? Will you put him on display in the market and have shoppers haggle over the price?Could you shoot him full of arrows like a pin cushion, or drive harpoons into his huge head?If you so much as lay a hand on him, you won’t live to tell the story. What hope would you have with such a creature? Why, one look at him would do you in!If you can’t hold your own against his glowering visage, how, then, do you expect to stand up to me?Who could confront me and get by with it? I’m in charge of all this—I run this universe!
> For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.Matthew 13:12
The great day of the Lord is near, near and hastening fast;the sound of the day of the Lord is bitter; the mighty man cries aloud there.A day of wrath is that day, a day of distress and anguish,a day of ruin and devastation, a day of darkness and gloom,a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet blast and battle cryagainst the fortified cities and against the lofty battlements.I will bring distress on mankind, so that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the Lord;their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung.Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them on the day of the wrath of the Lord.In the fire of his jealousy, all the earth shall be consumed;for a full and sudden end he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
>>18767154Whose Son is the Messiah?
>>18767153Countless numbers or distances of difficult things in the stars or in the depths of the earth. Those are basic elements. Then there is the element of love which is what the gospel focuses on. To gain that which is lost from people who refuse to talk to you or know you. That is why Revelation talks about marriage beds and adulterers so much. And the Lord Himself will kill them and their children. Especially the Jezebel woman.Revelation 2:22-25 King James Version22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.I.e. did you know Jesus Christ said he is literally God and can kill you with “Death” if you aren’t worshiping God the right way? You’re supposed to be living like biblical people in the Old Testament days who literally waited to be reunited with their spouse in the afterlife. Even if you didn’t know you’d meet them in heaven. Like prophetess Anna. God gave divorce for people who turned away at God at this love that goes beyond the grave.
>>18767153>“And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”--Isaiah 66:24
Murder != DeathDeath means God can kill without accusation. Which is why Satan approached God asking to just let him kill Job, but God said no don’t kill him just do what you can.
I always play on normal or medium difficulty in video games, or hard, but never go to hardcore unless it’s something like Quake 3 Arena.Prophet Nathan approached King David telling him he would have just given him anything he asks if he would just prayed after he murdered Bathsheba’s husband after getting her pregnant as the king of Israel. “Hey David, you know God could have fixed this without sin, you know?” I.e. God could even have struck her husband with Death and it wouldn’t be implicated on David for sinning if that was how God would deal with his sin (it would have just been that he lusted or desires her and prayed instead). Meaning God’s Word did implicate possible different outcomes. It depended on those men’s actions and sins and if they leaned on God for redemption in prayer and in faith, surrendering it to God for their salvation. I.e. the high king and priest of Israel himself surrendering to God’s Will to provide the savior. Like when John the Baptist said it should be you baptizing me, and trchnically, his baptism of Jesus was Jesus baptizing him because serving Jesus went into the Word of the New Testament and he became Jesus’ herald, making him share in Jesus Christ’s glory of God’s Son. John knew this and became eternally glorified in the Son.
I'm not religious, let alone Abrahamic, but my personal favorite Bible verse will always be Ecclesiastes 1:9>What has been is what will be>and what has been done is what will be done>there is nothing new under the sun
>>18767153Zechariah 14:12-14New International VersionThis is the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. On that day people will be stricken by the Lord with great panic. They will seize each other by the hand and attack one another. Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected—great quantities of gold and silver and clothing.

John 8:44 is a classic
>>18767168>oy veying intensifies Read it and repent
>>18767528That is good advice for being productive and not abusing God's gifts. People who have a skill or inclination should pursue it and they will be rewarded.
>>18767797Jesus clarified that when He quoted David's Psalm too
>>18768048>I will give unto every one of you according to your works.Calvinists on suicide watch
>>18768322Calvinism is a retarded hate-filled interpretation which is basically Judaism with extra steps. please do not mention it further.
>>18768308He also fulfilled the most important, which is Deuteronomy 13.
>>18768326I'm pretty sure these "faith alone" trolls are a very tiny minority in real life. They can't defend their tenets publicly because the Bible disproves them thoroughly.
>>18768327>Deutoronomy 13Behold the idolatrous city
>>18768068Nothing Ever Happens Chads, we have been Biblically vindicated
>>18768338>PicAnother trial from Yahweh (btw, Jesus was supposed to prevent that). Now, behold the failed prophet.
>>18768308
>>18768342>oy veying has reached critical levelsJesus predicted and sanctioned the Jerusalem destruction, why would He prevent it? You are making zero sense. Have you even read the NT my fellow brother in Christ? >posts Matthew verse without even realizing he is proving my point 1 generation is 40 years if you follow the preterist view. If you want to discuss what "genea" meant to the Evangelists, you can do so as long as you prove your point with more than a passage that you took out of context.
>>18768351I can smell the Axe and cargo shorts from here
>>18767153The millstone one
>>18768351>posts out of context imagethis is not the place for it saar
>>18768359> You are making zero senseWhat Yahweh said vs some failed messiah said, guess with whom are the jews going to side with.> If you want to discuss what "genea" meant to the EvangelistsAh, yes, the muh interpretation counterpoint, a classic.
>>18768360Take a shower
>>18768367>before Abraham was I AMYou can't respect the Father if you reject the Son. jews are wrong about everything, starting from their religious beliefs, which are a hodgepodge of all kinds of Middle Eastern superstitions. They claim to worship the same God but they clearly don't. Muslims are much closer ro the Truth than talmudic jews.
>>18768363>out of contextThat's the definition of Christian prophecy. Most of the OT prophetic "prefigurements" Christians base their interpretations on are nothing but mutilated verses removed from context. And that's when they have something to quote, mind you. In Matthew 2:23 he claims Jesus being called Nazarene was also a prophecy fulfilled, but there's no such a prophecy anywhere to be found in the OT. In Luke 24:46 he "fulfills" another prophecy that literally doesn't exist. He cherry picks lines from disconnected OT verses, stitches them together, and there's his "sign of Jonah." The NT writers constantly dismantle OT verses referring to other people and events to make these Build-A-Bear prophecies about Jesus all throughout the gospels and epistles. Chapter 1 of Hebrews is one of the worst offenders. It's entirely made of verses taken from Psalms, Samuel, Chronicles, etc talking about David, Solomon, and God but removed from context to make it look like they're about Jesus. It goes as far as to directly quote 2 Samuel 7:14 while describing Jesus and casually omit more than half of the verse because it didn't fit with him being sinless. This can be seen whenever they quote Psalm 110 (and they do it A LOT, the first verse is the one OT verse they quote the most), where someone is singing about David and they try to shoehorn Jesus in there to make you think it's David singing about him.
>>18768383That's because you're either ignoring or rejecting the core tenet of Christianity. John 1:1 lays it out clearly. The Son is co-Eternal. Jesus Himself quoted Scripture regularly and bested every opponent in debates. Uou may say that's the Evangelists propagandizing but if you reject the entirety of the New Testament then you have no sources to base your assertions on.
>>18768397You can always read the OT and find out for yourself, but you won't.
>>18768404>IsaiahAre (you) allowed to post 53?
>>18768411Of course. Are you allowed to read 41, 44, and 49?Isaiah 41:8-9“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.Isaiah 44:1“But now listen, Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen.Isaiah 44:21“Remember these things, Jacob, for you, Israel, are my servant. I have made you, you are my servant; Israel, I will not forget you.Isaiah 49:3He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor.”
>>18768423>doesn't post it>posts other verses out of context insteadYou have not proven anything. This debate was settled by the fig tree :-)

>>18768463Is that tree the same tree Paul talks about in Romans 11?
>>18768464Nope, different treeThere were a lot of Ivdaeans who converted. Bar Kokhba genocided them all before being genocided himself
>>18768466So the fig tree isn't a metaphor for the people referred to in Romans 11:28-29?
>>18768470Why would it be? The fig tree is a metaphor for ivdaeans who did not believe in Jesus. If jews claim descent from the same people, they are the fig tree.
>>18768474But that tree withered and died, while Paul claims the Jews remain beloved on account of the promise to their fathers.
