What would his Britain have looked like?
>>
His best chance to take power would be between 1934 and 1935. He wouldn't have embargoed Italy after Ethiopia, would have maintained the Stresa Front to contain Germany and prevent a war in Europe. Would have been drawn into a war eventually when Malaya is attacked by Japan, Idk what happens to Germany but getting cucked by Italy, Britain, and France means no remilitarization of the rhine, no anschluss, no munich conference. Hitler probably gets overthrown by the conservatives. Mosley will try to hold onto the colonies to the detriment of Britain (the colonies were not very profitable)

Realistically, he would not have been able to implement most of the policies he proposed. Despite being an authoritarian fascist he seemed to still desire to retain mechanisms of ensuring popular legitimacy and accountability. He would have faced immense pushback on his more extreme policies.

1950s Britain, but with less minorities

>(the colonies were not very profitable)
I don't get where this meme started, the colonies were a net benefit because most of them were solely there to facilitate wealth transfers from India and China both through the Suez and around Africa

He should’ve just stayed with the Labour Party and built his support from there. He destroyed himself with embracing fascism.

You didn’t have to annex all of Africa to do that. To be fair to Britain, their expansion in Africa was spurred on by competing French and German moves, the French ones being done to save face after being BTFO in 1871. Britain wouldn’t have given a fuck outside of the mines in South Africa.

They were doing it to shut out the French and Germans as you said and eventually to try and get the Cape-Cairo railway going that would increase throughput from SA and basically all interior African colonies while decreasing the cost of exploring and exploiting raw materials

The Raj was a net loss for the budget, constantly propped up by development schemes meant to bring the place over the line eventually.
Colonies paid off in some places, but were too extensive for their own good in others.

Obliterated by the inevitable far-left revolution that'd have seized Britain if they hadn't framed their entire society around being obedient devotees of liberal democracy.
