What events from history do you most wish could have been video recorded? I read a book about Comanches and it described some of the crazy feats and battle formations they performed on horseback, that's something I'd love to be able to see with my own two eyes.

With AI you can now see almost any historical event. A lot of it is slop, but some of it is quite historically accurate.

the battle of stalingrad
the battle of cannae
the fall of constantinople
the battle of naseby
the diet of worms

I’ll like to see the aftermath of the 1840 Linnville raid, where the Comanche hit a Texas port town then rode across the prairie decked out in looted Euro garb. No doubt this inspired Cormac Maccarthy’s famous scene in Blood Meridian.

Tenochtitlan it its prime would have been crazy to see, giant pyramids on a manmade island, in a giant salt lake, surrounded by floating farms.

I would also want to take a pill that allows me to understand each people as a native of theirs. But:

Anything before the younger dryas impact
The first peoples in the wake of de-glaciation, doggerland etc
The raising and rituals of Stonehenge
Steppe herder invasion of europe & aryan invamsion of India
Bronze age collapse
The military, religious, theatric, artistic and athletic practices of the ancient greeks up to the Alexandrian (PBUH) age
Post-roman age of germanic migration
The viking raids of England
1066

I feel like this is the obvious answer, except that the Gentling's paintings of Tenochtitlan are so good and we already have those that it almost makes me feel like it'd be better to use the magic video recording on something else
