Don't be a faggot about it. Any translation that reproduces the NT faithfully is a good translation and the NT is all you need for 99.9% of your daily life. I prefer word for word, but there are some who prefer thought for thought. I won't judge them too harshly but they need to watch out lest they be misled. My preferred Bible is the Challoner edition because I'm Catholic, and the NT therein is virtually the same as in KJV. So of I were stranded somewhere with just a KJV bible I would still consider mwyself lucky and thank God for it.
