Why did the Romans and Germanics bully the Slavs. They were so peaceful and cute like gnomes in a fairytale.
>>
Gnomes and elves are based more on Saami.

Slavs themselves were a warlike tribal race who underwent their own sweeping migration after the Germanic migrations. Popular history is highly anglocentric and thus slavs enter the popular imagination after Ivan the Terrible with whomst anglo merchants traded by sailing through the White Sea and after whomst Russia was forever a major power with a broad territory stretching to the orient. Little heed is paid to them as the Germanic tribes that sacked Rome and of course the Vikings.

I don't think the Saami were the source of either of those. Weyland was an elf but had no physical differences from men. If anything elves represent some ancient Germanic group.

How did the romans bully the slavs? And how are the slavs peaceful? Did you read about balkan ethnogenesis or slavic invasion of the balkans?
