Could they have defeated the Axis without Britain's help?
>>
>>18764442
Did Britain did anything?
>>
>>18764442
America and France lost to Vietnam, so it's doubtful
>>
>>18764457
Vietnam was guerilla warfare, not conventional warfare where you objectively win by capturing the enemy's capital
>>
Literally any of the allies could have defeated Goymany on their own, even France if they had had their shit together slightly better.
>>
>>18764627
>France could defeat Germany, Italy, and Japan on its own
Big if true
>>
>>18764442
No, without Britain's tanks Moscow would fall in 1941 and the Soviets would capitulate
>>
>>18764627
Don't you have snails or baguettes to munch on

USA and USSR lost to Afghanistan, so it's doubtful
>>
>>18764569
America lost a conventional war to PRC right after the revolution.
>>
>>18764690
France had a really good and large military, one that was unwilling to fight.
>>
>>18764712
>We lost on purpose
Sure Pierre
>>
>>18764716
Having bad morale is a major issue and weakness for any military, the US is greatest example of this.

The only time France actually defeated Germany was in WW1, and that's when the entire planet was on their side.
>But muh Napoleon
Napoleon allied himself with smaller German states (Bavaria) to score tactical victories against larger German states (Prussia and Austria). As soon as the Prussians, Austrians and Bavarians combined their forces against him he lost instantly
>>
>>18764743
The only time frogs actually needed Anglo-American cock in their ass*
>>
>>18764743
Germnigs sure know about the "whole world suporting" thing, now they just need to learn how to win with that
>>
>>18765364
Germany and England won the Napoleonic wars
>>
>>18765368
"Germany" was overun after 5 defeats in a row and turned into a vassal and all of England's coalitions failed until a certain country's you didn't mention managed to beat the french with their shitty climate and ressurected a new european coalition with itself at the top.
>>
what did Britain do
>>
>>18765479
France chose to invade Russia because they couldn't build a long term stable order in Europe, and endless meatgrinder wars with Austria and England (no matter how many were "victorious") were beginning to gnaw at the French public's resolve. France thought if they could force Russia to be their ally then the French and Russians would team up to permanently subjugate the Germans and starve out the British.
France lost the wars because they were not able to build a successful hegemony and the defeat in Russia solidified this fact.

>what did Britain do

they picked the wrong team

The United States would have struggled to logistically prepare for the Pacific war without Australia being a base of operations. And there is no Australian entrance into a war without Great Britain leading the charge.
>>
>>18764442
Yes. Commies were enough to defeat nazi Germany.
>>
>>18764705
Show me the paperwork.
We lost in Vietnam, we lost in Afghanistan. That's it.
>>
>>18764446
they started the war
they also provided key material to the ussr in 1941 which is almost certainly why they didn't get steamrolled by the time winter started
after that, they were a very useful aircraft carrier for the usa
>>
>>18764743
france would've lost to germany in ww1 if it was a strict 1v1
an oft forgotten piece of history is that the us was actively supplying the entente since at least 1915, which matters a lot more than people want to admit
>>
>>18764446
They were a convenient launch pad for invading the continent.
>>
>>18764442
Yeah and they did.

>>18764457
So did Australia, part of the Commonwealth.
