Colonization was a great human achievement and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
>>18764375>Colonization was a great Not great about creating the US, look at how things are going on today.
>>18764378Better than a century ago. >inb4 /pol/
>>18764378>>18764402The problems of today were caused by slavery and later immigration. If the US was only inhabited by people of European descent, it’d be an amazing place to live.
>>18764409I'd be a second, larger, Argentina.
>>18764415The no later immigrants part is key. No indios. But it’s becoming a second, larger Brazil at this point anyway.
>>18764642I'd say Brazil with a 25 years delay.
>>18764375that map is epic.
>>18764409The impoverished descendants of the less lucky early immigrants would cause problems too. Just like how late but successful immigrants cause no problems.
>>18764378The US would be Africa-tier if American Indians had it
>>18764409Only if they were never Americanized into soulless mutts.
>>18764415>ArgentinaArgentines are only 71% European.https://humanvarieties.org/2014/10/19/racial-ancestry-in-the-americas-part-1-genomic-continental-racial-admixture-estimate-and-validation
>>18764837Not nearly on the same level. The US would have the same crime rates as places like Denmark if we only had to contend with trailer trash.
>>18765027With it's ethos centered around personal freedom I think America would always be more violent than European countries but I agree that slavery didn't help.
>>18765082I think Anglo-American, which at this point comprises many with mixed northern European ancestry, are more peaceful than you give them credit for. There’s a large emphasis on freedom but an understanding, at least previously, that this comes with significant responsibility. There’d always be more guns, a more belligerent and martial outlook because of a frontier freedom mentality, but the frontiers are settled. All the lower class Anglo-Americans get up to now is domestic violence and trying to be wiggers, but they’re much slower to pointless violence compared to other Americans.
