how the hell did we figure out fire? and how did it turn humanity into like a demi god

Use of fire for warmth predates modern humans. Early hominids were believed to scout for wildfires in the African bush caused by lightning strikes to collect burning tinder to use for warmth. The intentional starting of fires was somewhat more recent though, with the earliest evidence only going back 400,000 years (there is evidence hominids utilized existing wildfires going back 1-2 million years ago)

Lightning and brush fires.
>>
>>18763779
what evidence would survive 400,000 years?
>>
>>18763787
trace amounts of flint, steel, and ash

We barely have evidence man existed 10,000 years prior, much less 500,000 years prior.
>>
>>18763793
There will be no evidence you ever existed
>>
>>18763793
That's because it wasn't modern man starting those fires anon, it was pre-humans that first started their own fires.

I plan on having a green burial. The tree grown on my plot shall be evidence of my existence as my body returns to the cycle of death and rebirth

Ash, charcoal, *seashells, and the burnt/carbonized remains of hearths, inside caves, are basically evergreen. They never go bad inside the isolated temp. controlled environment of a cave.
There's a bunch of caves in China where cavemen lived for literal thousands of years and only left when they were physically forced out of the cave by the accumulation of generations of hearth ash.

*Another one is shell middens: layers of seashells, discarded after eating the contents, and burried by more seashells, sand, etc.. They form strata-like layers as they pile ontop of one another and become preserved for basically indefinitely. You then dig them up and can get some idea of when people started living in the location, when they stopped, etc.

I plan to kill myself and film it such that the world will know I once lived.

We didn't start the fire.
>>
>>18763838
Have we started the fire?
>>
>>18763848
It was always burning since the world's been turning

My take ls someone being nervous, probly about predators, frotting two sticks, just because.

Then one became hot, he wanted more heat as night came. Then smoke, then then fire they saw after a lighting on a tree.

Long term, ofc, not one day magic.

Then, adding some more sticks when if was red hot.

Someday, a flame. Wow!!!
I'm a shaman now!
