>She is El Shaddai, The Goddess Adonai. The Powerful Mother She Is.

They have gone insane.

If God precedes the manifestation of eternity wouldn't it naturally follow God precedes all constructs of gender too? Therefore to call God "male" or "female" would be reductive to actual divinity.
>>
>>18760391
The question of whether God is a man or a woman is tough because on one hand, men have shown themselves to be more capable of building complex things and creating complex concepts in engineering, math and physics but we are all born from a woman.

so its 50/50 for me.
>>
>>18760462
Females only exist where procreation is needed. They were given to the male to reproduce. There are no females among the immortals.
>>
>>18760442
This is correct concerning God in His essence. God, The Father, is not male or female (Father is just a title). Christ, the incarnation of God, however is a specific person with a specific gender, ethnicity, etc.

God - the mysterious gender bender
What version of the bible are you getting this from btw? Why doesn't any version of the bible provide historical context for how the names and identifiers in the bible have changed, in regards to god and Jesus, from language to language after centuries of redactions and alternative-translations?
>>
>>18760623
I'm not a Christian and my conception of God as the prime mover is more drawn from Aristotle but you can still interpret God as innately genderless through a Christian lens >>18760600
>>
>>18760782
It can be interpreted in many different ways because the bible is a collection of poorly compiled Israelite myths and reformed/redacted Hebrew scripture.
Gods jealousy and actions are very woman-coded and always spiritually Jewish, especially in the New Testament. Christian lenses are opaque about it

You just hate God.

I love many gods because I love reading. The bible is just bad writing.

Isn't it suspicious that none of those God's are concerned with rigtheousness and morality and justice and goodnes? Isn't it weird they accept anyone who worships him and the greatest offense you can do in their eyes is not to do evil or injustice or hurt the innocent, but not offering them their food at the proper time?

You can be the biggest scumbag and along as you keep them a candle lit, burn them incense and offer them their favorite food and drink they prostitute themselves to you?
>>
>>18761018
To be fair, the exact same thing is true of Jesus. He straight up forgave the criminal who was crucified beside him just because he offered to worship him despite all the horrible shit he did to end up getting crucified in the first place. That's why people on death row tend to gravitate towards Christianity (at least in America)
>>
>>18761021
He does not accept those who do injustice to the poor and opporess the needy.
>>
>>18761021
That's a modern Christian interpretation and pretty baseless. The Mark gospel doesn't make it sound that believing in Jesus is an automatic ticket to heaven, you have to actually work for it.

For all we know Jesus could have looked into that guy's heart and decided he deserved entering the kingdom of God.
Being crucified by the Roman government obviously doesn't automatically mean you are actually guilty, or that your crime warrants the punishment. Jesus obviously didn't deserve it either.

Ephesians 2:8-9
>For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians implies personal morality has nothing to do with salvation/damnation. It's entirely a question of belief.

God is masculine.
Women don't think.
They emote.
>>
>>18761180
Most men I know rarely think, either.
>>
>>18761158
Wrong. Jesus Himself teaches His followers to adhere to the highest standards of purity and holiness, and He rebukes people like scribes and pharisees who acted holy on the outside but were dirty and wicked in their hearts. You have to read the entire NT, not just one quote that you clearly took out of context and grossly misunderstood.

You're so fucked.

The Bible is a collection of all the stories of the previous religions from the region, altered slightly to make them Christian-oriented. Especially the OT.

Describe the correct context then. You can't.

>Isn't it suspicious that none of those God's are concerned with rigtheousness and morality and justice and goodnes
That's not correct. Ancient gods of law & cosmic order have existed since Sumeria. I'm not going to bother reading the rest of your post because of the abject wrongness in your opening statement.

Zeus represents supreme righteousness and Jupiter is his Roman parallel. Themis was a Greek Titaness of divine law, natural order, and righteous counsel. Dike is a Greek goddess and daughter of Themis, who watched over human behavior and reported unjust or unrighteous acts to Zeus.
Ma'at the Egyptian goddess of truth, balance, order, morality, justice, seasons, and actions of mortals
Mandanu the Mesopotamian god of justice who established laws
These are only a few examples. Virtually every god who's historical roots trace back to Dyeus Pater are associated with justice, righteousness, resistance against evil & tyranny, and belong to a pantheon of deities who represent similar aspects.

Why would God put the one thing he didn't want Adam and Eve touching right in the middle of the garden, be completely unaware of the snake doing its thing, not know where the two were hiding, then curse the absolute entirety of creation because the two humans became intelligent?
>>

OTOH:
>Immortals aren't male either
>What's the point of having balls and a dick if you won't even use them?
>The castrati were closest to God
>Please do not start castrating children as a weird religious cult thing, humanity has already done that in the past, it's just not good.
>>
>>18761499
It's a metaphor for humanity putting itself above the natural law. We are able to understand good and bad, control nature and shape it to our needs, rather than being controlled by it like all the animals. This made us more like God, but also separated our connection to the Holy Spirit, so we have to restore it.
>>
>>18760391
Why are panchitos like this?
>>
>>18761499
Because he values obedience over everything.

Then why would his master plan for humanity be predicated on the disobedience of Eve

They are femous and honored in all the heavens. Their names are never forgotten. Heaven is where the people who matter live.
>>
>>18761214
The correct context is that sincere belief in God means you do your 100% best to act morally in God's eyes. If you go "yeah I believe in God" and go to your megachurch and then go to a prostitute or oppress the poor, it means you do not in fact believe in God. The thief repenting on the cross is forgiven because in his last moments, he gains true belief; he does no works, because he dies - but true belief does save him.

Conversely, someone doing the works without believing in God is meh.

Belief comes first, works follow, works without belief are meaningless/impossible.

Reminder that Paul wasn't a prophet, so his word isn't law. His opinions are definitely worth listening to, but he does not overrule Jesus.
