In the demo the entire world is loaded at all times including animated random npcs and fountains etc. Using the middle mouse button you can fly the camera all around the town.No wonder it looks so low poly, they are using the Pokemon approach for how to handle a open world lol.

Lots of orphaned stuff on there that will need to be rebooted somewhere as a community.On the flip side I don’t know for sure yet but most things probably won’t work either without a pain in the pass manually porting, or just not work at all, for crc. the fundamentals of how the clothes and bodies work changed for 2.5 onward. I have every mod I remotely wanted from the last 6 years (even when I started in 2021 a lot of links and loaders were already dead when you dug deep in time) and my mods folder is like 250gb all by itself, so I could in theory contribute to being an ark for some things but in practice redistributing others’ mods without permission is a cardinal sin to the Japanese com community and this is what will really fuck things over for old stuff.

Has anyone tried to use AI to look at an image of a 2D character and get it to reproduce a mesh of it in Blender to export as a model? It wouldn’t even have to be perfect but just get close enough to fix with a few tweaks. I’ve been daydreaming of trying to do this for months to easily convert anyone I want to COM since the hair is by far the most finicky thing… but generally feel the tech isn’t actually good enough to do it well yet. Since I don’t really-know that however I’m wondering out loud here about it.
