Could the demand for data centers collapse at some point and the market be flooded with cheap gpus and ram again?

    Typical american bullshit.
Build right on top of a neighborhood.
    Americans are fucking retards.
    Fucking wowo.

*cheap data center gpus and ram
    >>
    >>110216521
it's not straightforward. the boards are not compatible with end user hardware.
so maybe the memory chips can be recovered and soldered on consumer boards, like ram sticks. maybe.
hbm video memory is junk for end users, there's no end user platform supporting them. like you cannot upgrade a 9070xt with hbm.
and the gpu chips they use are not compatible with direct3d and all that, only compute. so they cannot be used for gaming.

Ai bubble already collapsed in China. It’s only a matter of time now.
    >>
    >>110216521
Hopefully not or my stockpile or RAM is gonna lose valuye!

end user gpus and ram are very expensive rn because the infrastructure to produce them is being hijacked by the data centers' demand.
If the demand drops then all the common harware would benefit a lot, because a lot has been invested to increase production.
    >>
    >>110216593
Rn you still have time to sell
    >>
    >>110216592
China never had a bubble they considered it a novelty.
That's why they gave it away for free.
The US is acting like AI is the sub-prime mortgages of tomorrow.
    KABOOOOOOOM!
    >>
    >>110216593
Did you buy ram just to sell it later?
Ppl like you deserve to gete rugged

if he didn't someone else would have. you do not understand this is not the issue with a few individuals. it's a human issue. literally everyone would do it. without them we'd collapse. because there would be nobody who would move the fucking market, nobody would understand demand and supply.
it's the same issue as always, remove the individual and before you turn around someone else got that place.
it's everywhere in nature. there's no source of energy that isn't untapped. someone is milking it.
when you get left on the outside, it is not the fault of whoever took it from you, it's your fault for not seeing it earlier and protecting yourself.

    >Data centers go from 0 to 100
    >Drop from 100 to 75
    >Cheap hardware upcoming!! Data centers have been defeated!

No the prices aren't coming down regardless of what happens in the markets, data center demand is and will be there.
AI is here to stay and it'll just get worse hardware wise.
If you wait to buy because you think that the market means shit, you'll pay double or triple next year.

    >Could the demand for data centers collapse at some point and the market be flooded with cheap gpus and ram again?
It's really tough to say. I think it comes down to what the consumers want, and what the data centers are able to provide for them.

Even if the technological innovations in AI were to plateau right now, AI is already capable of doing quite a lot. I don't really like AI, but I can concede that it's capable of helping people with simple tasks. As the years go on, if the average consumer decides that they like having an AI assistant help them with simple tasks (writing documents, code, generating images, etc); then even if there are no more improvements in AI technology (which is unlikely), that will probably still be enough for there to be an indefinite demand for data centers, just like there's already an indefinite demand for the internet.

Of course, data centers aren't really profitable. They use a shitton of electricity and water. Even if there is a demand, how do you keep a ship afloat if you can't afford to keep it sailing? Well, you probably end up doing what big tech have already been doing for years: Siphon off telemetry data from the consumer and sell that to data brokers. That should be enough to make it profitable.

    >tl;dr the AI bubble might collapse and we will STILL have a gorillion data centers buying up every GPU and stick of RAM that is produced

Corporations ship all their old hardware to China for recycling just to prevent you from buying it second hand. Did you forget these pedophiles want you to subscribe to their computing platforms? Think of all the offices in the US that replaced their desktops with shitty workstation laptops piggybacking the heavy lifting off some remote AI provider.

Before coronavirus you could have bought an extremely obsolete server with 128GB ram for like $250, now you'll pay $750+ for the same 15 year old hardware on some DDR3/registered server ram or some other shit security box/chipset shit nobody has business using.
    >>
They are pricing everyone out of desktops to sell normie tier ewaste that will be reliant on remote AI.
    >>
    >>110216786
*They are pricing everyone out of desktops to sell cloud computing. FIFY.
    >>
    >>110216921
does consumer cloud computing even really exist? every attempt has been an out and out failure so far.
    >>
    >>110216601
    >because a lot has been invested to increase production.
    LMAO NO
That's why we're in deep shit.
The whole point was to cause scarcity.
    >>
    >>110216521
It will get worse when frontier labs hit the ceiling on reasoning and start competing for speed.
Right now I would take a 2x speed opus 5.5 over a new frontier model.
    >>
    >>110217053
Nigga they are putting a trillion in the next 4 years to expand production capability.
The problem is that takes years to start seeing results. Is not like making plastic cups you know?
    >>
    chinese bubble crashed
expect the western bubble to crash very soon
not in the way you think though
in the way that every single small startup gets kill and google/anthropic/whatever gov funded ai company to stay and buy all datacenters and software for literal pennies on the dollar
    >>
    >>110216592
It collapses in china because they have real economy basis, in the jewish economic zone called US, they have money printing and credit creation out if thin air, debt maxxing like never before

This is a chinese tech etf.
It doesnt look that bad, i have seen much worse.
Actually it looks like something that one could buy, unless you are a cunt that likes to buy the top of things.

unironically the bubble popping might lead to a big leap towards AGI
    >>
    >>110217105
My schizo theory is that they’re going to manufacture a multi month system collapse, like a power grid thing. They’re already telling military bases to stock up on 3 months worth of food. You can let the bubble burst under that guise and have the tech bros come in and say they saved the power grid.
    >>
    >>110216592
and you think the same thing is going to happen in Jew controled USA lol
    >>
    >>110216521
    >Could the demand for data centers collapse at some point and the market be flooded with cheap gpus and ram again?
    Nope.
Even if AI bursts they will buy all the ram and GPUs and build the datacenters anyway even if they never even turn them on.
    >>
    >>110217101
    >chinese bubble crashed
Are cheap GPUs and RAM flooding China now?
    >>

in china you can buy huge crates full of ran through 3090s for 112 USD a pop
    >>

I like how they can't wait to build them right next residential areas.
They would build them on top if they could.
