    what's the benefit of using dots for those tasks instead of just telling a local agent to build a script that scrapes the weather or checks for amazon prices, and run that directly? idk how much usage dots take to run but i think that would be cheaper and more reliable.

    i don't understand the point of using a model, where the main selling point is nondeterministic behavior, for tasks that can very easily be represented by fully deterministic logic

    I've nearly completed 1 month of Claude $100 plan. I'm so happy with it, Opus 5.5 is an amazing model and I did so much with it.

    I'm wondering if I should try OpenAI for this next month. I already know it's really shitty at "just doing it" like Claude does, but I'm curious what can be done with it if you put in some effort, and I want to see how good it is at decomps, etc.

    What do you guys think?
    >>
    >>110213716

    Also it was either that or google, but I have no idea when carbon is coming out either. My sub expires on the 2nd, so I don't have much time to decide.

    Also for those who use google models, can we use any harness with them, like pi etc?
    >>
    >>110213747
    you will get shitty results using pi with argon, like 40%-50% lower on most benchmarks i've seen, but yea you can technically do it. carbon, given the time it took to clear argon in cyber testing, should be coming out in approx 14 days or less, no cap. in the meantime, argon will do decomps and crack your tv to debloat it
    >>
    >>110213747

    claude made me a good 11labs at home setup, basically I just write lines, it generates voices, and builds the mod. based off of omnivoice. a lot of back and fourth, it kept the technical stuff to itself, I just lend it my ears to clone from solid references, it made me a blind test where it builds from 10 clean references it picks up, I vote my favorite gens and it reduces the reference candidates way down to 1 or 2.
    only the first run was a bit painful, but I setup a skill and it can produce a mod in like 30 seconds, using my gpu to gen the voices takes the most time, around 15 minutes for 30 minutes of audio.

I feel so dumb now for not realizing why I constantly got promoted to sign-in again during a certain period of time, which totally makes sense now. Also I got something to add to the list. Whenever you enable remote control for the first time on an account or new device, you are being put in observation as well. Idling after enabling remote control which is interpreted as red flag and potential unauthorized access will get you logged out of claude code every single time.

    >how to prompt claude
    paste the latest SpacetimeDB Rust SDK docs (1.0+ macro syntax) into context first or it will hallucinate old 0.x APIs. tell it:
    1. Mongoose schemas -> flat #[spacetimedb::table] structs with #[primary_key] / #[index(btree)]
    2. Express routes -> #[spacetimedb::reducer] functions
    3. Auth/session middleware -> ctx.sender (Identity) + ctx.timestamp

    >controllable room timer for synced video
    do NOT tick a counter in the DB every second, you'll spam WebSocket row updates for nothing.
    store deterministic anchor state in your Room table:
    - video_url: String
    - is_playing: bool
    - media_offset_ms: u64
    - updated_at_ms: u64
    - rate: f32
    only call a reducer on play/pause/seek/swap. clients compute local_time = media_offset_ms + (now - updated_at_ms) * rate on their own clock. only use a Scheduled Reducer if you need the server to auto-advance the queue when a video ends.

    >mongo to spacetimedb refactor
    SpacetimeDB is relational, not a document store. tell Claude to flatten nested Mongo subdocuments/arrays into separate join tables keyed by room_id.

    >redis scaling
    delete Redis entirely. SpacetimeDB holds all state in memory with a WAL and natively handles pub/sub via client SQL subscriptions.

    Based. I'll save this.
    >do NOT tick a counter in the DB every second, you'll spam WebSocket row updates for nothing
    I was only sending them out every second, and only the room time. Kek.

    6.1 terra is a much mch better deepseek 1017, but it's cursed with the name terra, which gives it a sense of perennial underperformance.

    Better pay 20 for Claude instead and have a superior model?

    fixed my harness. apparently, it wasn't even running opencode deepseek at max effort for some reason.
    it's pure sex now. still feels slightly more quantized than the API, but it's extremely good for the value it offers.
    >>
    genuinely experiencing much better and faster coding with 6.1 Sol High vs Xhigh. Xhigh does way too much extra shit that I had to go back with Astra to reduce code with

    maybe it is time to go back to the densha de koi game....

    i put all 10 music tracks in xeno koi, all maps have their own skin, dealership.md takes over turns, reverb effect is tweaked, SC&AC are working perfect now. More colors, more music, ... right now an agent is makign a tutor mascot for the plex. They also told me to do that licens MIT thing.
    The only thing missing is the story... just like with konokoi.

    So, maybe i should for densha de koi absolutley avoid to even think about builiding towards a story system.

    however....
    i will see that i get the version out.
