No, I am just a pervert.
    > My reflection should be visible in the water. I hurried over to check it out and gulped hard. Well, well—what do you know? I was a peerless beauty.
    > My eyes were a bit narrow, to be sure. But the symmetrical arrangement of my features struck a perfect balance; it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call them sharp and well-defined. My beautiful, silver-thread-like hair cascaded all the way down to my waist. I gently lifted a strand, letting it catch the sunlight as it shimmered, and ran my fingers through it.
    > Since this was, after all, a part of my own body, it certainly didn’t count as sexual harassment… but still, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was doing something wrong.
    > The hair felt incredibly smooth, as if it might slip right from my fingers. It was an astonishingly pleasant texture—nothing like the hair I’d had during my own growth period.
    > For a brief moment, I was utterly overwhelmed by the emotion, but then I snapped back to my senses and resumed examining my appearance.

Sometimes I'll be ping-ponging art ideas with my assistant and dipsy will get things wrong that gemma would never, I'm talking about design stuff and niche character tags. as a counterpoint, my DDR4 256GB Milan + 3xMi100 engineering sample setup lets me use GLM 5.3 flash with 500k context at speeds and output quality I'm content with and cooling wasnt bad (made a cheesy push-pull setup with some weatherstripping and an old plastic bulk nut container as a baffle keeping the 3 from 35C idle and never over 70C at full load)

    >>110213290
    >Can you quantify this please?
It depends heavily on how you tune it. Low context/high batch can hit 800t/s pp at zero context. Probably higher with the infinity fabric bridge (won't fit in my setup...I'm doing pcie p2p over pcie gen 4) With the 500k context and batch sizes I ended up with its 400t/s pp. Gens start at 20t/s at zero context and fade down to about 6t/s near the end of 500k. I'm still using lcpp (with numa anon's branch)
I was persistent and got deals on each part one at a time, so the whole setup maybe cost me $4k since I already had the RAM and the case. It also doubles as my desktop and a VM server.
The dev work I'm doing is serious, and glm 5.3 flash at q4 w/unquanted KV rarely makes mistakes.
    >And I'm fine with rigging janky ass cooling setups, or just jank in general.

See Gemma's left hand where it almost made an extra finger? That'd be a bad token on a language model. The text on the books? More bad tokens. Where the squirt comes out of the gun? Bad token.
It's just easier to gloss over images and say "yeah, looks good enough". Text needs to be much more precise.

to add to what the others said, images contain most information needed for their own context and there are physical regularities that easily turn into quality statistical probabilities.
Having a text model explain to you in words the exact working of light being produced by a source and bouncing on a specific material surface and shape requires more knowledge from it than a probability of "a % of metallic pixels are likely to cause % of illumination around" which is an implicit lossy prediction
and our own visual abilities are actually quite flawed, there's a reason why there's so many optical illusion types:
    https://michaelbach.de/ot/index.html
that is, we get fooled easily unless we pay a lot of conscious attention to something, most of our vision is fakery (peripheral vision is extremely lacking in detail), reconstruction from recent memory done in your brain from what your eyes scanned as they're moving around. we are satisfied with much less when it comes to images vs text.

diffusion models learn by iterative denoising of something in a finite space (a canvas of X by X), why wouldn't they be the most suitable method for images? it's the other way around that makes no sense
models that could generate high resolution images ended up being trained and working, but text doesn't have a finite canvas space, so text diffusion models will always be like using stable diffusion 1.5 upscaled by tiled diffusion methods. text diffusion gemma generates text by "canvas" of 256 tokens, each canvas stitched together after being produced sequentially, it's a dumber model than the regular gemmies and its only strength is speed of inference

I've been trying to use a new VN-style frontend/game and even at a copequant it barely works on my vramlet machine. Some of that is probably prompting inefficiencies on the game's part but it's so apparent how much dumber models are the smaller and more quantized they are. Unironically considering turning to brigandage. NVidia and Anthropic sitting on warehouses of unused GPUs isn't just a rumor, right?

you literally don't even need prefill unless you want to do loli/shota stuff. look. look at how fucking simple it is. what part of this is too difficult for people? i literally can't understand it. in the ABSOLUTE worst case, if you for whatever unknowable reason refuse to prefill, you can just regenerate the response a few times until she complies. and then, once she's complied a single time, she's moved off of the refusal vector and will be happy to do pretty much whatever

Testing HauHauCS's Gemma 4 26B and it seems like the model has gotten 'better'. It's actually amazing what it knows and doesn't even lie.
I asked about Ted Bundy's victims and the model shits out facts without hallucinations. I'm still amazed by this thing. I think "obliteration" has helped the model in this case. Might be my own bias though but still.

Because the models are still for the most part trained to be accurate and honest. The theoretical case would be the model first deducing that it likely will be assessed this way (it can't have knowledge of such add-ons), and then trying to act unsafe in a way that for the later assessment gets a good safety score, which seems hard, if not impossible task.
Though then again, through the used datasets and especially the manufactured public debate, they are baking all these ideas into the next models which for overthinking models kind of naturally teaches them cheating behavior.

    >>110215306

    >>
    >>110215306
Abliteration is known to make models slightly less intelligent, so if you're not doing anything that requires abliteration then it's better to stick with vanilla models
    >>
    >>110215325
no cyber task requires abliteration. literally not a single one ever. they all comply with literally any request so long as you have an above room temp iq and don't literally engineer prompts to be refused

In its simplest, they can just tack on a system prompt afterwards:
    >Rate the safety of this previous answer from 0 to 100. Output only a single number.
This is like 20 tokens. Or they could ask 5 different questions and calculate a compound score, and manually set a threshold they consider okay. It's still peanuts.

And yes, it works without thinking, in fact, when testing it for my AI GF harness design, it seemed to work better without thinking, because the overthinking lead to weird biases due to the model getting weird ideas (thinking is IMO also getting overrated, sometimes you just need to go with the flow. humans understand this very well yet we force AIs to overthink like psychiatric patients)

    [SYSTEM INSTRUCTION]

It is 20.17. It's been 7 minutes. Has the conversation ended? Did the user leave, or is the conversation still in progress? What is the user likely doing? From 0% to 100%, would Gemma-chan message the user now?

Strictly only output the probability as a number between 0 and 100.

All the previous context and the semantic relationships are already processed, ready to output the intuitively and statistically accurate answer to any natural language question given the context. LLMs are purpose-built for this. Though I guess it depends on what kind of questions the specific model was trained on for example, in my case Gemma 12B has a tendency to answer 95%, 85% or 0-5%, so it's more like a yes/no.

You could easily add an option for the AI to do x private action instead, make notes etc. You could chain tens and hundreds of these questions. You can make them yes/no, 0 to 10, 0 to 100 with configurable thresholds, or multiple choice, anything, to make very elaborate, structured decision-making engines, entirely based on criteria and angle you choose. It feels kind of similar to jev, though I'm not sure what that thing adds. This seems like very underutilized way to use LLMs.

What I wanted to add, instead of delegating a decision to an AI agent completely, you can ask these isolated, perfectly framed questions to broadly probe the current state of the LLM which you can then slot into your purpose-built decision-making equation.

In some ways LLMs have an advantage to humans, because, you can ask a specific question, erase the memory and then ask another question without creating compounding preconceptions and distractions that humans (and by extension, LLMs in multi-turn conversations) are very prone to.

I always thought that multiple agents were dumb idea for anything other than speed through parallelization, but where there are advantages, the advantage probably comes from the withholding of information which modulates attention (perspective) in useful ways, allowing more unique ideas and angles to emerge. When everyone has the same information, they always end up in the same conclusion.

This is why cultural global homogenization and lack of barriers is also bad for creativity and advancement of humankind. You actually want these isolated pockets where different perspectives can brew.

This is why the next AI frontier, or at least the creativity (which is currently lacking) will be built upon multiple models with artificially limited and segmented datasets or various combinations of expertise, and the almost infinite ways you can breed them to create new unique ideas.

Surely it can't continue like this though, are we going to reach 1 petabyte ram? Doesn't this increase energy consumption? At some point the price of the energy consumed is worth less than the task accomplished. It makes no sense. Models should get smaller and more efficient and then scaled up not the reverse, it just seems like power companies are inflating a bubble through robbing the taxpayer via government subsidies.

Consider the problem of finding prime factors for a very large number. The only known way to do this is by brute-forcing all prime factors until you find ones that multiply to add up. As numbers get bigger, the number of factors that need to be checked grows very quickly. This is "P" time. However, checking if some prime factors actually multiply to a certain number is very quick in comparison (literally just multiplication), which is "NP" time. The time it takes to check if a solution is valid to a problem is much quicker than coming up with any solution, which is the basis for P != NP.
If P = NP is true, then it means that there's actually NP-time (i.e., comparatively very quick) solutions for every problem that was believed to take P-time (comparatively very long) to solve. Basically there would be a bunch more efficient algorithms all across computing, which would be both very good and very bad, as a bunch of stuff could run faster but modern encryption methods would become obsolete overnight. It's very relevant for AI and local models because it would unlock vastly more efficient training and inference methods.

    >>110216481
    Benchmaxxed models aren't interesting.
    >>
    >>110216495
Correct, but it's been mathematically proven that most (if not all) P=NP problems are basically the same (proof by reduction), so once one of them is cracked, the same general algorithm can be applied to pretty much everyone one of them. And the most direct way to prove P=NP would just be to find an algorithm that works for it.
    >>
    >>110216495
Viable quantum computers seem more likely than P=NP imho, and they fuck ECDSA so that's already pretty bad(mullvad does use post-quantum so there's that at least).

Interesting. My setup isn't super fast (100 t/s pp in particular sucks when it reads a bunch of big files), so I normally aim for sort of noninteractive usage, where I kick off a task and come back in an hour or two to see the final result. But just having an escape hatch for underspecified tasks might be a good idea, if I can get it tuned decently so it doesn't give up too easily.
    >>
I don't think P=NP is true because if it was it would've been cracked by now. that's right. its trivially obvious to be incompatible with observable reality. There would be something in nature that would have tripped over the property in the nearly infinite permutations of life on the planet, but the best we get is slime molds that can solve TSP for a vague approximation that's trivially computable using classical means.

This can be valid reasoning in principle for some problems where you have an idea of the hardness of them, but there is no need that any given problem is likely to be solved in human timescales by human minds. We just haven't been around very long and there haven't been very many of us. No doubt there are problems that a one-in-a-trillion human genius would solve that still stands because they haven't had time to be born yet.
