I use light theme and i have no regrets, dark theme is wannabe haxxor larpers and chuds living in basement without any lighting

See you're exactly the reason why Light Themes are absolute shit nowadays, fucking gray text on a white background. That shit will strain your eyes more than Black Background + White Text.
    >>
What about automatically switching between light and dark mode based on the time of day?

My great grandfather built my house and apparently he was a afraid of windows. Not Microsoft Windows but WINDOWS. You know? Also he'd make a 3,000 sq foot room and put like 1 ceiling light in the corner. My whole house has always been dark as shit.

    >>110212006
Terry never used dark themes because they're niggerlicious.

cuck coders love their dark theme when watching
    >>
I love both Light, Dark & in-between/solarized themes, I swap them all from time to time while always being in a well lit room + opening my Window Covers every day.
All my screens are always at 25 or 30 Brightness + NightLight always on past 6PM.

I actually paid attention to the onboarding video, and the company said that it's one of the employees' responsibilities to use less energy. One way to do that is by using dark mode

If the screen is led, it will use the same electricity, regardless
    >>
Even my system theme is light, I have never liked dark themes.

Sepia theme master race reporting. Don't @ me about the code in the screenshot. That's the theme author's screenshot.
    >>
    >>110212006
That looks utterly hideous. Modern UI design basically pushes you to dark theme, because the light themes are so horrible.

I just like consistency. Dark mode saves battery on my phone so dark mode on my desktop too
    >>
How don't your eyes hurt..? This has to be bait.

    >inb4 systemd (usually run void, artix or gentoo but I have to renew some RHCSA bullshit so do running Arch for a refresher)
    >>
High contrast #2 is the only usable one. I can't stand either. Even dark mode on Windows has an annoying blue filter over everything. Also, once you see it, you can't unsee it. You're welcome.
    >>
    >>110215080
It looks great its almost as if you were using a notebook
    >>
    >>110217012
Huh? Just do a custom theme. I use a solarized dark color pallette on Windows and it works fine. Use it with Windows, your terminal and as your browser theme. Simple. That looks terrible.
    >>
    >>110217025
Other than the fact that there is a backlit panel blasting blue rays up into your peepers...

maybe it looks good on an e-ink display but everything else? nah. you basically have to live with redshift cranked

It is from the CLRS book, I am reading it and implementing parts of it, over time I might switch to C++
