It depends because IQ is only a measure of pattern recognition. It doesn't necessarily give answers. I can only share what works for me, from my understanding of the underlying components that comprise a Linux distro. Most distros use the GNU core utils. They're bloated and have tons of weird quirks and edge cases but get the job done. Most distros use a version of the kernel that isn't optimized for desktop usage or include kruft shoehorned in by corporations. Many distros allow you to change the kernel however. Many distros are very barebones and will have you tinkering for hours to get exactly what you want. The vast majority of desktop distros follow XDG desktop standards defined by the FreeDesktop Organization. Which are often over engineered with even more kruft shoehorned in by corpos. Many distros are also maintained by and include software from mentally ill faggots who hate anything to the right of communism. In reaction some distros are part vibecoded by chuds. For these reasons I'm currently on Artix-dinit with the Xanmod-lts kernel and a custom LXQt build. Although a secret collective of chuds are working on a gtk2 version of XFCE which I'll switch to asap. But if hours of tinkering doesn't sound appealing and you don't care if your software is built by faggots then you might be willing to compromise.
