Are investors not happy with Gemini 4 Carbon?

It's a class leading frontier model, but their valuation dropped by 500B immediately after release. Google has dropped by 26% in the last 6 months.
>>
Can anybody outside Google access Gemini 4?

nobody is clicking Google search links because Google AI is searching those links and providing the answers.
the companies who pay Google to get search priority are pissed. Google are finished
>>
>>110203350
It has nothing to do with that. It's all about the slowdown of the growth of their search revenue.

Google (I will never call it alphabet) would be worth more and provide more value to the public if it were broken up, but this administration doesn't have the vision for creating competitition and innovation by breaking up trusts. Trusts and conglomerates are bad in general, that's part of why Japan has so many zombie companies
>>
>>110203350
that's not why the stock dropped and if you don't understand why their stock dropped, never touch it

It's a lose-lose. You either cannabalize your own earnings, or you pull a Kodakmand fade to irrelevance. Or you follow the enshittification model, prioritize shareholders and business owners, and let them pay to play and boost the AI search results at the expense of the cattle, i.e. you and me.

so you are saying I shouldn't invest $30k in google right now?

They're not happy with not making money. Same as always.

Very cheap financing allows zombie companies to shuffle on for a very long time, especially if they happen to own the land on which their offices/factories/warehouses/datacenters sit. Japan had the cheapest financing anywhere.

You should call it Alphabet, because the reason they're called Alphabet is to laugh in your face about the fact that they're a front for 3 letter agencies.

My Google usage has dropped like 90% since LLMs. Googling stuff feels like something from a past life honestly.
