Pretty much the way everything is now. Definitely the front page of the pile of garbage the modern internet has become.

I believe they would have to strip the NSFW content in many states and countries if they didn't do it.
>>

Redditors are the most annoying people on the internet and it's a good thing they're being walled off.
You can hardly even make a post on there without it being removed because your account wasn't x months old, you didn't have x post karma, x comment karma, or breaking some random arbitrary rule put there for some mod's personal ego.
>>
>>110202401
But didn’t they already do that years ago?

Good that means it will die as normal people don’t want to create a userprofile tracking them 24/7 and stop using that pile of shit once and for all

No they stripped away all the nono opinion subreddits.
Porn is still most of its draw for traffic.

Provide 5 examples of garbage useless reddit threads

All of them. You find a thread about the exact topic you looked for and there will either be no replies or something like:
>post deleted because user didn't have enough karma
>post deleted because mod was a fag
>post deleted because user deleyed his account
>some retarded attempt at an unfunny joke for updoots
>"heh, why would you want to do that?"

There, I just summarized all of reddit for you.

You will log in to reddit.

Remember when you said you would move to Voat, Ruqqus, Poal or Lemmy. They are all gone and reddit is still here. All the people on Slashdot saying they would leave reddit were all logged into their accounts since Slashdot got rid of AC posting years ago.
>>
>>110205073
they aren't gone, lemmy has about 30-40k active monthly users. I mean, that's not super impressive but still

I'm still surprised this one is still around but "just reinstall windows bro" actually died out.

Shut up cuck. I'm not going to go on that shithole site and look for threads for you just because you're too dumb and lazy to do it yourself.
Everyone but you agrees what I stated is indeed the case but whatever mental illness you have is clearly preventing you from perceiving and processing the objective reality.

Since AI answers most of your questions, there's no need to acces their forums anyway.

Maybe. But what they said- and this is surprisingly honest- is that they want to be able to target users for ads.

It's too late. They've already been scraped, and AI will give me an answer without piddling around on their forums.

I've had good experiences with the fediverse, but it isn't an out-of-the-box experience. It takes a while to get it set up the way you want it.

Good riddance. That means I won't get stuck reading it anymore, even though I hate it.
Never had an account there, I actually tried making one on several occasions but they all got pretty much insta banned

As long as the AI agents of the major search engines can still scrape reddit for answers who gives a fuck?
>>
>>110206604
When was the last time there was a genuinely insightful post/thread on reddit that actually came with information you couldn't find elsewhere? 10 years ago?
I doubt anything of value will be lost if AI doesn't train r*ddit posts after 2024

I'm glad they're destroying this site. I want to see the powermod clique get even more fucked over, too, like how they tossed out that turtle loser like a chicken wing after spending 16 hours a day moderating 1000+ subreddits for years.

Sounds like you got what you were looking for.

Sometimes when I'm troubleshooting issues with game crashes or getting older games to run, the only working solution is from a reddit thread that showed up on page 2-3 of jewgle results. And now they're locking it away behind the login wall.
>>
>>110207133
Yet these threads still manage to contain more useful information than anything on plebbbit.
Reddit is literally pinterest-tier in therms of actually useful information.

>>
>>110207381
people on se are shitheads that know what they're doing. People on reddit are just shihtheadsand retards trying to farm updoots with their unfunny comments every other post.

>normal people don’t want to create a userprofile tracking them 24/7
That describes almost all "normal people", anon.

I recently showed my friend how to use Librewolf instead of Google Chrome. He seemed to like it, and I was able to teach him how to use uBlock Origin advanced mode in only a few minutes. He picked it up really, really fast.

When I gave him the mouse, first thing he did was go to Youtube and log into his Youtube account.
>>
Wait is anyone able to use old reddit? This is truly the death knell for me. I cannot stand smartphone scrolling. Being unable to browse and forced to look at only 1 post at a time. I am on a 16:9 screen. I visited reddit kind of compulsively, but breaking all the oldreddit plugins truly makes the site unuseable.

>When I gave him the mouse, first thing he did was go to Youtube and log into his Youtube account.
Unless it's connected to an email with your real name on it, why's that a problem? Youtube sucks without an account, especially with the enshittification of the algorithm.
>>
>>110210548
>Unless it's connected to an email with your real name on it, why's that a problem?
His Google account (which his YT account is connected to) is [first name][last name]@gmail.com.

I will never, ever, ever be able to understand why people make a gmail account and name it after their real life name. I know so many people whose email address is [first name][last name]@gmail.com.

Unless it's a business/work related email address, there's no need to be using your real life name in your email address. That just binds your digital life and your physical life together and makes it fifty hundred million times easier for Google to track your physical (IRL) life by tracking you through your digital life.
>>
>>110210674
kek it doesn't make a difference. they still know
>>
>>110202293
Don't worry about that if you use AI to get information it pulls the worst garbage out of that festering shithole and delivers it to directly to you, including some retarded hallucinations.

True, and it was common sense when I was a kid, I just made a gmail for the purely administrative/professional stuff, and one for my private stuff, I never visited youtube with the one that has my name.
>>
>>110202727
not having an insta/tiktok/xitter account is literally a red flag among normies, they will (rightfully) assume that you are some incel psychotic serial killer if you have zero online presence
>>
>>110211342
>rightfully
Sorry to hear you're retarded, anon.

Having an "online presence" is one of the most stupid things someone can do. You really think it's a good idea to be sharing your life with people you barely even know? Not just people in your community, but all the data brokers that Zuckerberg, Musk and ByteDance sell your usage patterns to. That's really fucking dumb, anon.

yeah, i don't get it when people say it's gonna kill reddit's usefulness as a google result. it's always been fucking horrible. the 70 posts that attempt zingers are the worst.

>>110207133
4chan's layout makes it easier to filter noise. the threaded structure of reddit's threads means it's really hard to pick out anything useful from almost any popular thread. we also don't have updoots so when someone's trying to be funny, it's probably a little more sincere.
>>
>>110211573
I don't make the rules, normies are the majority of the population, if you stick out like a sore thumb then be ready to face the consequences.
>You really think it's a good idea to be sharing your life
I never said that, I'm simply stating a fact that for normies it's very normal and if you are not doing it then there must be something wrong with you according to them, I don't give my opinion on the subject because it's irrelevant in this discussion, it doesn't matter what you or I think about it and whether we agree or not.
>all the data brokers that Zuckerberg, Musk and ByteDance sell your usage patterns to
Normies don't care because convenience of getting free shit like tiktok and youtube is simply more important than their privacy/data/whatever. If you try to bring up you will be met with bangers of logic such as "Why do you care?", "Who cares?" and, my favorite, "How does it affect you?".
>>
>>110211883
Who the fuck even wants those assclonwns keeping tabs on you? It's all social policing and control. Zoomers are so fucking paralized socially now that any one of them might film their shit and put it out on tiktok for shaming that you can't get a word out of them
>>
>>110202293
but I am permanently banned and any new account I make gets banned
>>
>>110202293

>>110210548
>Unless it's connected to an email with your real name on it, why's that a problem?
Did we learn nothing from Snowden? Companies know who you are anyway.

>>110211342
I only get away with it by declaring myself a boomer. I grew up hearing stuff like
>if you post vacation photos on the internet you gain nothing of value by doing it, but you risk criminals knowing your house is currently empty, an easy target for robbery.
>If you post political opinions tied to your name it can make it impossible to get a job, in fact don't post anything even remotely controversial online
Then my parents do all that stuff and more nowadays, but I still get uncomfortable exposing anything about myself online. People do think I'm a weird anyway but I assume it would be 100% worse if I was younger.
