Anyone who genuinely loves computers and coding is excited about AI and wants to unlock it's potential. People who 'learned coding' begrudgingly are getting exactly what they deserve for treating my beloved hobby like a whore.Enjoy your McJob, luddite.
If AI was this amazing we wouldn't need bi-hourly threads and a 24/7 all-hands shill campaign trying to convince the public.

Only true Scotsmen think like me. And that's a fact.

>>110194423Loving computers and programing in 2026 isn't the same as it was in 2006 or even 2016. Computing used to be fun, now it's just depressing.
>>110194423It's the other way around. People who begrudgingly learn to program because they had to are now creaming themselves over cuck coding. People who genuinely like to write code and solving those little puzzles don't want an llm to write everything for them.
>>110194423>loves computers and coding is excited about AI and wants to unlock it's potential. This was like two years ago at this point.Back then it still seemed possible for it to go the software engineering route where you can build something and make it progressively better. It went into the other direction where it can """one shot""" something that you have to be satisfied with or start over with another attempt.Building something by adding features is something that even multi-agent systems aren't capable of. You can ask it to do it but it will fuck it up after the nth feature and get stuck. So what you're left with is having it build an updated spec and start from scratch.

>>110194423Prompting AI to produce slop isn't the same as developing AI models, AI harnesses, and other related software. Prompting is normiecore anti-computer literate activity. You're just delegating your basic computer literacy demand to the computer.
