We are currently either approaching or already in the rear end of this current cycle. Something's got to give eventually, and with public sentiment the way it is I wouldn't be surprised if we see some major disruption in one form or another within the next ~3 years. Hardware prices as they are currently are just not tenable for much longer.
>>110193486Never happened before
>>110193667I'm going from 16GB to 64GB if that happens.
>>110193486Hate to break this too youBut consumers are literally not the market for gpus/flash anymoreNon-enterprise is sub 5% of nvidias profits nowWe literally don't matter
>>110195552>consumers are just put 2 steps down the line of productionokay and? that just gives it a higher lag
>>110195588We literally aren't in the steps anymore50 series is gone nowDats centers have infinite demand and don't care what the price is
>>110195615Not him but sounds like a new paradigm to me. I suppose it's time to buy...
>>110195615Gpu-unlock is probably going to cause a run on 3000 series too.
>>110195552>>110195615See it's exactly this kind of attitude that makes me think we're rapidly closing in on the peak of delusion. Do you even hear yourself talk?
>>110193486People been saying the same thing about the housing market for 20+ years.
>>110195658leave them be
>>110195673The housing market went tits up in 2008 though. $100/sqft wirh 2-3% interest. Now it's more like $200/sqft with 5-7% interest.
>>110195673and they are regionally correct.
>>110193486I think we're just entering the mania phase. Excluding a few outliers, the price increases thus far have only mattered if you're an enthusiast or procuring hardware at the enterprise level. Also, AI awareness might be high, but adoption is not.Lots of companies just started to scale within the past 60 days (this is why the DGX Spark doubled in price, for example). I think you'll see true scarcity and extreme price increases in any bubble-pop lead-up; doubling isn't extreme. You have to remember that being anywhere like /g/ means you have a niche view of the world. You may have known about AI for a while, seen advancements and plateaus, and already encountered price increases multiple times. To you, the cycle has already played out, and you settled on a stack that works for you months ago. But for the average person, they haven't even touched a harness yet. The average business hasn't done more than play with Copilot a little. We'll be in the greed and delusion phase when regular people, like your normal-guy neighbor, are waiting in line for hardware like Pokemon cards.
>>110195798Don't overcomplicate it. The top is in when no-coder females or celebs talk about vibe coding.
there are way more sellers than buyers nowsellers are just doing the diamond hands meme
>>110195840so right now?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55emovZSXQ4
>>110195552stfu cultist
>>110195850you can't call it diamond hands when everyone is doing it. how can no one blink? something must be keeping prices high and i think it's futanari INFLATION
>>110195850This is extremely regionally specific and not a national trend.
>>110195552>But consumers are literally not the market for gpus/flash anymoreBut that doesn't make sense because consumers are still a market. Someone or something is going to fill that void eventually
>>110195883That's the most bearish indicator I've ever seen. Reminds me of my sister asking me about Ethereum literally 1 month before it crashed
