>>

I swear YouTube is the most retarded website ever made. Can anyone explain to me rationally why that bar only appears once in a while like it's a random event in a video game?
>>
>>110193262
A/B testing whether they can get rid of features without too many people complaining
>>
>>110193315
It's been that way for years though. I have YouTube open in the background all day and it's anyone's guess when that recommendations bar will show up.

Different leadership, different priorities. Before it was regular people releasing content of dubious quality, and an existing youtube culture. Animations as well. Then they wanted videos that was over 10 minutes, because they choose to value watch-time, because they believed they were competing with tv. Then letsplays started dominating youtube because it was easy content to make. Then after the adcopalypse (whitch was not caused by bad content, but because of youtubes lax advertising monitoring. Nobody wanted to advertize on youtube, after literal australian pedophiles were advertising their torture porn on youtube) youtube started to choose what they wanted the algorythm to promote. That is why the jewish every-man h3 got pumped and dumped by youtube. Then podcast and long form content. Now, the people in charge of youtube only care about short-form AI-slop sourced from India.

dude fucking same
It's like they HATE me using their site. God forbid I diversify my interests and watch a variety of things, instead they'll shove 100 vids of shit I already fully watched in my recommendations troll me with a button that only exists 1 in 5 times I refresh the page

"New to you" should be the default mode of the front page recommendations if these fucks had any sense. Even worse is asking other people about it because it's like we're using different versions of the same site. Oh and don't even get me started on the weird UI changes like putting the triple dot menu in the bottom right of the item on the sidebar recommendations, what the fuck were they thinking??
>>
>>110196085
My favourite is when it recommends you the same "new" videos 20 times in a row, you refresh too fast and notice an interesting video last moment only to never see it recommended again or find it via the laughably bad search function.
>>
>>110196085
>>110196096
It keeps getting worse and worse.
>the "not interested"/"don't recommed channel" buttons on the sidebar are just placebos (they worked fine before, now the videos show up again after refresh)
>the home page bugs out and shows you every channel you clicked "don't recommend channel" on or only displays a few videos, then goes back to normal after refresh
>the video page freezes for no reason from time to time, especially when scrolling down or opening the description
>the "experiencing interruptions? :^)" message is back even after blocking it in uBO
And that's not to mention the countless features they removed over the years. I half expect someone from Google to come to my house and kick me in the nuts the next time I open YouTube, because they're running out of ways to make it worse.

are you guys all retarded niggers?
