/srs how to become ai researcher and escape permanent underclass (college dropout)
>>
>>110191673
First get degree at top of the class from top 10 universities in either CS, machine learning or neurobiology, then move to San Francisco, jump around random startups or make some cool ML project, and then finally apply at one of the labs as intern… 1-2 years ago. Sorry but all tech jobs are somewhat already automated, vibecoding didn’t just kill webdev by eating up juniors first, but it also killed AI research. Full RSI means AI researchers are no longer needed beyond the few oldheads that just make sure things don’t go south.

Literally Impossible

The only way is to create AGI in your basement and then sell the idea to investors so you can have competitor company.

It's pretty much impossible now. Your only real chance was to get a degree and become an AI guy like 5-6+ years ago before everything blew up. Now it's the hottest career on the planet and you're competing with the smartes fags from the best schools. If you think you're some kind of autistic savant then you could maybe do something INSANELY (and I mean insanely), genuinely impressive by teaching yourself AI shit on your own and then using this ridiculous project to leverage a career into the field, but this is only slightly less impossible than the previous impossibility I talked about.

You can always create a fake startup and fail upwards
>Yeah I was so sure of my business that I dropped out of college!!!!
People eat that shit up.
But the time to make a fake startup was a couple years ago, it will be way harder now.

The world needs weeds so that the flowers can stand out. Thank you for your sacrifice.
