Why is there no Firefox based browser that offers the same level of customizability and seamless sync on both desktop and android
>>
>>110185795
have you tried using firefox?
>>
>>110185795
Are you retarded or what?
>>

https://www.firefox.com/en-US/features/sync/
>>
>>110185795
Yes but no
>>
>>110185795
Yes, when firefox was cool, any version of firefox below 57.
>>
>>110185795
Because firefox is an irrelevant troonware
>>
>>110185795
You can do whatever you want to Firefox be it premade CSS or making your own CSS and make it look however you want to. Firefox also has Sync for all devices it can be installed on.
>>
>>110185945
On vivaldi you can do that and also add extra js too, not just for websites but for adding features to the browser itself.
Like firefox when there was xul/xpcom extensions, maybe a bit worse cause on vivaldi you use "mods" that can't autoupdate.
>>
>>110185990
You can do that on Firefox, still.
>>
>>110185998
haven't they killed userchrome.js and have userchrome.css only now?
I stopped using it when they wontfixed the native.js api.
>>
>>110185795
I think Floorp is a clone based on firefox. I only messed around with it for a few minutes but it seemed to have everything vivaldi has.
>>
>>110185795
>syncs browsers
fool
>>
I just want to say that waterfox finally fixed the bug when you choose a file to upload, the next time you do it, it'll stay on that folder instead of defaulting to the last folder you downloaded to.
>>

>level of customizability
>seamless sync
sounds to me like you've been drinking marketing cool-aid for too long
>>
Firefox killed it's customizability with the end of XUL. And Basilisk doesn't have enough devs to keep both XUL and modern web capability going.

Floorp is trying.
It still needs a lot of work but you can easily edit userchrome.css and vibecode a clone of your Vivaldi interface.
>>
>>110189586
>bloated shit
yeah no, just do the userchrome.css thing in a fork with sane defaults
>>
>seamless
>right-click page, send tab to phone
>just never shows up
i like vivaldi but the phone integration sucks
if i need to transfer a page from my computer to my phone it's more consistent to send it to wallabag instead
>>
>>110186180
>>110189586
When will someone make a Floorp fork with a less awful name?
>>
>>110185795
Gecko sucks. TOTAL CHROMIUM VICTORY
>>
>>110189822
>bloated
The entire point is cloning a chrome fork with a trillion settings
Not like you'd notice the "bloat" in general, unless you're using a 2004 laptop
>>
>>110185795
Waterfox is decent.

That's just Firefox. I used Vivaldi for years. I know what's it's like. Don't play with me.
>and android
Alright, yeah you got me there lmao.

On vivaldi you can edit by drag and drop the menu entries and order, including context menu, and even add custom actions from the menu.

On firefox it's quite harder and a lot more hackish as you need to use css for all the real order will be the same, pita to have it work 100% as expected.

Or you can recompile it, but that's way to much for such a simple thing.
