>mouse is 6 months old (logitech)>scroll wheel is already beginning to scroll in the wrong direction
>boughted the infamous double-clicking logitech mouse together with spare switches 5 years ago>no issues>spare switches still in the drawer
>>110181483>>110181519>didnt fukken care, got maus for 14 bucks bundled with kb>n years ago, i dont even remember>stole middle mouse button-switch to restore right click doe
>>110181483My G403 Prodigy is still working since 2017, although, I did finger the G-Hub through the side rubber.
>ho no the product i bought from the company with a reputation of parts breaking fast is breaking fast
>>110181483kensington slimblade is godtier for scrolling when you do it right (the instructions show how to do it wrong)
>>110181483same. i took it apart and cleaned it but a month later it started scrolling in the wrong direction again
like 20 years ago Logitech mice felt awesome and lasted forevernowadays you're really better off buying a Razer if you're looking at anything with a modicum of extra functionality, because it's less than the equivalent Logitech and the Logitech won't last much longer in the modern day.
>>110181483>buy razshit deathbladder wireless mouse>have it for one year and the scrolling goes all over the place>suddenly starts working again after another year
>>110181483I managed to temporarily fix this by blasting the inside with canned air and IPA. I'll probably replace a switch at some point. My mouse is a steelseries though but it's the same horrendously overpriced piece of crap made in Chyna
>>110181597>>110181597> canned air and IPA.Those are crucial for pc ownersI used them to fix a mechanical keyboard key that was repeatingFor mice it might be a good idea to look at optical switches and scroll wheels, tho the manufacturers dont like the battery drain aspect.
>>110181617>batteryUse case?
>>110181696not having to drag a cable around
>>110181617Yeah, this stuff is amazing. BTW, in case you or some other anon didn't know this, IPA and ethanol are polar solvents and like dissolves like so it's also handy to have a non-polar solvent like this electrical contact cleaner (pic related), which is mostly naphtha, aka Zippo lighter fluid, also sold in the form of paint thinner. >For mice it might be a good idea to look at optical switches and scroll wheels, tho the manufacturers dont like the battery drain aspect.interesting, less mechanical wear is always better. I'll keep that in mind for my next mouse. I avoid wireless stuff because of the battery though.
>>110181483Rawdogging Shizue would still be worth it even if she had turbo aids.
>>110181483your pube hairs are confusing the sensor.
>>110181483Logishit is finished. I bought three of their crappy mice. A wired one, where the left button started double clicking, and a wireless one where the right click button completely stopped working. Another wireless one where the scroll wheel was in the wrong direction like yours.Never again. I bought $10 ugreen wireless mice from aliexpress which are almost certainly going to last longer (and even if they don't at least they're cheap).
>used to like Logitech>they now install software on your PC without askingI'm never buying Logitech again
>be 12>deathadder for christmas>it breaks in 4 years>buy logitech>it breaks in 6 months>buy steelseries>it breaks in 18 months>buy deathadder>doesn't breaksgood build quality, looks good, nice cable, plenty of configurations, even a wireless one. they even sell a cheap one for 40 bucks
>>110181483Just take the mouse apart and fix it. Everyone on /g/ knows how to solder.
>>110186343He has problems with the scroll wheel thoughbeit, not double clicking.
>still use mousewheel mouse>still hasn't've broked
>>110186940His issue is not mechanical and is fixed by replacing the part.
>>110185093do they try to install anything on linux? I just ordered a logitech gamer mouse now that I can actually game. I assumed a mouse was a mouse and it would work anywhereI use arch btw
My uhhhh... rapoo? Mouse still works after 7 years or so.It also fell down once and broke some clips inside, so I had to use a few folded pieces of paper as shims and the power switch and bt pairing button are gone. I also added a screw to keep the battery tight and another paper shim on top.
>>110181483Linux driver issue
My Logitech G102 is literally 8 years old and is working just fine. The infamous double clicking one. It doesn't double click. Scroll wheel is fine, too. Luck of the draw?
>>110181483let me guess, the 305?
>>110181483And this is why we force shitstain companies like Logitech to honour a 3 years warranty in the EU.And yes, I'll gladly pay a few more euros for the peace of mind.
still rocking the g700niggas like 16 years old by now
>>110181483Buy a Gameball Thumb or any non-Logitech trackball mouse
>>110181483>Corsair mouse is over 14 years old>0 problems
>be me, buy GravaStar Mercury X Pro with metal magnesium housing and extra switches + pads>look smug while plebs complain about their cheap plastic mice
im a cuck who loves their mice despite their switches being shitgood thing replacements are cheap and i know how to solder (poorly)
of all the mice ive ever owned, only the logitech g600 has survived more than 2 years of daily use. yeah i had to swap the switches, but that was cheap and easy as hell. the scrol wheel however is the best part of it because it uses an optical rotary encoder so theres no mechanical bullshit to break besides the clickspring (which is a piece of steel wire how the fuck is that gonna break) and the axle, and this is the only mouse wheel axle ive owned that didnt snap from fatigue. i wish they didnt discontinue the g600, i would have bought 5 of them and had enough for the rest of my life.
>>110181483jew
>>110181483I've been using a Logitec G602 for 13 years
>>110185093Do any mouse makers not do this? I'm still using an extremely basic Logitech office mouse from like 2012 and hoping it will just live forever. It's really simple and has none of that bullshit. Can you even get a mouse like this anymore?
I need a new mouse for work, so I’d rather not have a LGBTIQANBFP++ LED monstrosity, but I’d like it so be ergonomic with a few additional buttons besides left and right. Also, I’d love to have a sideways scroll wheel for doom scrolling excel. What are my options that won’t fail after a year and also aren’t so expensive that I won’t get it expensed?
>>110186999It's fixed just by fucking cleaning it out. No parts need to be replaced.Open it up, pick out any hair that's caught in it, and blast some compressed air through the slots in the wheel.
