there's this 37 year old millennial dude at my job that refuses to use AI because it's "unethical" and stealing data from non consenting sources and so he manually navigates through a 1.5 million LOC repo to fix shit and he gets pissy when you reply to any ticket assigned to him with AI analysis

Guys, do you think it worth it to create a model with A.I. I wanna spend some of my Bonus money on LEAPs. I wanna start something with paper trading.
>>
>>110164733
he's not going to be let go because he's still good at his job even if his output is lower than people that do use AI, the problem is since the codebase is so massive and relies on other systems outside of our repo to function even AI is clueless and doesn't know how shit works unless you tell it. Also this is a pretty liberal company so people are sympathetic to his cause. As long as he gets his work done nobody cares, and finding + training someone comparably competent would take forever and be super expensive.

i'm not a luddite, but surely you can't believe the future is sunshine and rainbows.

the only thing the last ~30 years of tech development really achieved is giving the "elite" more and more powerful ways to exert control over regular people. AI is only going to accelerate that, I struggle to imagine a future where regular people actually reap the benefits of AI progress.

I dont know, would you not consider the internet to have been a net positive for everyday people? Even beyond the convinces and slop it brings us its also the only reason any mass anti-government sentiments can build meaningfully. I 100% would not have been able to get my hands on a lot of the books I own were it not for things online stores with delivery making it economically viable to just offer everything to everyone, book stores would never shelve anything not curated to filter out wrong-think. You get surveillance too, but I think the soviets showed pretty well you didnt need internet to keep an eye on everyone. There is a reason they started trying to regulate it more heavily recently with all those ID laws to "protect children".

like the nuclear waste myths.
>>
>>110165146
This feels like a cope desu. People have become very cynical about any change in general, its fully believable to me that there is homegrown anti-ai sentiments. Also stuff like the king, the pope, and obama all coming out shortly after each other to talk about how its too dangerous and NYT interviewing the guy who quit Anthropic is not china's doing, that is pure western politicking and EA cult movements I think.
Not to say foreign actors aren't happy to pour extra fuel on the fire.

I used to meticulously include libraries with good licenses, understand things deeply and really care about GPL and other shit, write most things myself and was very very autistic on good code but with AI now I just let go of it all and I'm basically fuck it we ball. I still try to maintain good higher level design, abstractions and I don't go retard mode on just letting the AI download whatever mostly for safety reasons but why use libraries unless they are really needed or can be used temporarily to test things when you're short on tokens anymore.

Uhhh how bad is it to use A.I to help make investments for you. I'm trying to get it to do some models and analysis and the structure looks right, I just never had the time to do so.

Not for day trading, I want to allocate like 2-3% of my portfolio on derivatives.
>>
>>110165483
I've done this, it works for automation but it's just going to adopt the persona of a typical trader and tends to be way too conservative and risk adverse, it's not going to come up with any novel strategies that you don't tell it to do.
>>
I let Opus cook my Dune game overnight
>>
>>110165483
anything the ai could conjure up beyond "buy and hold etfs" is already priced in, since everyone has access to the same models. the exception is if you have some secret insider knowledge and you feed it into the AI and have it research how that info would affect the markets. otherwise there's no point, hedge funds will eat you alive and the market makers will laugh all the way to the bank.

Meaning what? Do you think you're smarter than the market, that you have a better sense of what the price should be than the tape and that it must obey gravity and go down? You're going to to fuck yourself with wash sales on the losses and miss out on gains by overtrading, and probably shoot your eye out.

I feel bad for him
I have a small utility that I wrote that was at the ragged edge of what my brain could manage in terms of algorithmic complexity (I never was a CS major)
I had Claude look at it to figure out why it wasn’t working quite right when I was using it with Helix and it suggested a couple of fixes
I thought long and hard before accepting the fixes because it felt like tarnishing a trophy (although one that’s about as important as one for a 7th-grade spelling bee)
now imagine you’re partway through building your own personal game boy emulator and there’s this _thing_ you could point at your codebase and just tell it “finish the work” and several hours later you’d have a working Game Boy emulator
but if you were enjoying _making_ the Game Boy emulator, and were looking forward to being able to show it off to people, then this is gonna suck

If you have $40 for budget, get both GPT and Claude. OpenAI is already teasing Terra-6.1, which is gonna be cheaper and supposedly better than Sol 6.1, so a really good deal for us soon. For Claude, you want to plan with Opussy, either medium or high, and implement with Sonnet (if you're on the $20 plan at least). This is gonna give you a ton of mileage.

On GPT, do NOT use Astra on the $20 plan, it's gonna rape your 5-hour limit without making anything.
>>
>>110166064
>>110166073
or: have claude do the planning and write a GitHub issue

>>110166064
I have a token heavy side project and don't want it to use too much usage.
I use t3code. I just start a thread with haiku and say write thread with id xyz when weekly usage of claude drops bellow x% to take a break. after the weekly reset window write continue to it.
It knows how to check usage from a skill, it sets up a an automation to prompt itself to check again.
On my system I just have a service update a file with current usage data and the agents and my status bar can read them.
T3code can also auto resume when usage runs out and comes back if you want to drain it to 0.
Has been working for 3 weeks now on the project on its own. always for like 3 days of the week then it stops and waits for the next week.

if the technical side is complex enough, claude might spend a lot of tokens thinking before it even starts writing code
also, opus 5.5 medium might be good enough for you

there's an famous greentext that I think somewhat applies here about how women and low-T men parse information and form opinions based on how the group will perceive them. I think there's a lot of that going on with the "AI bad" bandwagon. it's safe and publicly defensible to be anti-AI, especially in the left-leaning anti-billionaire crowd, and being pro-AI or even just AI tolerant is social suicide

You gotta be more upfront with this for people who have never encountered Koi-koi before. I enjoyed it a lot and then went to the github to figure out wtf it was supposed to be about.
Anyway it's not my favorite aesthetic but it does deliver it, I got into just while playing around blidly with no clear idea of what I was doing. The music is great, reminds me very much of X-dreamthe Delta.

I really don't know how to explain it. It's a unique thing with Hanafuda; the game itself is easy, but you have to memorize the cards. That is the learning curve most people choose not to tackle. I can't easily teach them the cards because there are 12 months, and each month features 4 cards with its own unique flora theme.
That's really all there is to it. However, some cards are harder to learn than others, and a few of the flowers look almost identical.

The gameplay itself is very straightforward. As you can see from the in-game tutorial I made, it is super short, simple, and nothing special.

On top of all this, I am dealing with a mental health condition that requires me to take some very heavy medications.

- Custom browser editor: HTML/JavaScript with Three.js for the 3D view, served locally by Python. This is where the room layouts, building pieces, doors and stairs are composed.
- Python building compiler: Turns the layout into positioned meshes, collision, floors, ceilings, door devices, lighting and navigation resources. It also handles precise changes to the original shell.
- Vanilla asset library: We’ve extracted and measured 9,859 vanilla architecture meshes, recording their dimensions, pivots and available appearances. They’re organised into a searchable library and room presets. They aren’t all interchangeable pieces—different kits still need fitting and validation.
- ghostline-red: Our Rust tooling for reading Cyberpunk archives and native resources, exporting mesh geometry, inspecting world sectors and verifying generated files.
- WolvenKit: Used for resource conversion where appropriate and for packing the actual runtime mod archives.
- ArchiveXL: Loads the new world sectors and applies targeted changes to existing buildings—for example, removing a fake door or the original occlusion boxes that would otherwise hide the new interior.
- NPC navigation: Python with Shapely generates clearance-aware walkable surfaces and stair ramps. Those become native navigation resources, with connections for doors and entrances. A C++ Detour test harness checks routes offline before we test actual NPC movement in game.
- Cyber Engine Tweaks/Lua: Provides an in-game testing panel for teleporting to the building, spawning/binding an NPC, querying paths, testing walks and recording results.
- Blender: Used for geometry inspection, cutaways and floor-plan previews.

- put opus on medium mode, never take it off this effort, the higher ones are bs and don't do better only hit the limit faster
- make a script that opens claude and switches to haiku and asks something stupid or just says good morning claude, then switch back to opus. The reason for doing this is so that you hit your window reset in the middle of the workday and not like 4pm
- if you have a long conversation with claude then come back the next day DO NOT use /compact, your conversation is no longer cached so it will just eat 30% of your usage window. They don't tell you this and its obnoxious as shit, use a small local llm (like 4-9b) to summarize it and paste that into a new session

>We know it's deteriorating our minds
Sounds like a (You) issue.
Yes, I can see it deteriorating women's and NPC's minds while giving enormous power to the architects of society. But I'm not accepting the weakest link to drag down the entire progress of society. We have failed at providing the NPCs with a better pipeline of distractions and busywork and at gating them away from the big scary politics and AI that they aren't equipped to handle. And it's hard when Tiktok and media just keeps mindbreaking them.

Unrecognized binary format MIPS it was on the todo list but maybe I spoke too soon because support and good results vary across IDA or Ghidra too

Thanks for the sample will add support as soon as my CPU aren't pegged doing other work

>drag down the entire progress of society.
Allowing women to vote and have opinions never progressed anything, it's dysgenic regress.

Have ai models make a graph network of millions of geometric and physics math formulas and calculus to assemble the art from

I just leave it at medium. I don't touch that knob. It works.

women are scared because they know they are only good for 2 things, baby making and cooking. Once AI can do both what are women even needed for?
