I can pretty much only exclusively speak on photocraft because I've used photoshop forever but it's pretty damn good it hasn't reached feature parity yet so it's simply not finished but what is there has been pretty good. The layer filters need more work but it's sufficient. There's still some wild bugs like cropping and moving the crop window can wig out hard but things like this are easy to fix and they do get fixed pretty quickly usually within a couple days. Within a few months I don't think there will be much to complain about, to be honest.
>>
>>110136858
>Within a few months I don't think there will be much to complain about, to be honest.
Assuming it doesn't become abandoned where. That's my biggest concern desu. Even then people can just fork it and continue their work so I guess it's not too much of an issue.

>>110136866
There's lots of people working on it now and the interest in finishing it is pretty high because people really do just hate Adobe that much. I think some of the stuff he's working on will probably get abandoned, though like Soundcraft. Nobody really wants protools the entire industry is already shifting away from it.

I managed to go through the entire career loop for the first time earlier today. Still lots of work to do to make them behave like careers, but it's a solid foundation holy shit that was a lot of work.

Constant show stopping bugs and major performance problems. It does a good job of letting you open documents and fuck about with them, but as soon as you try and do any kind of real work the AI jank comes to kick you in the nuts. GIMP is terrible, but it's predictably bad where artcraft's shit is unpredictably bad. Affinity is a better choice IMHO. You'll have to learn it, it's not even trying to be photoshop and its workflows are just different, but you can tell with some practice you can get productive in it where GIMP no amount of practice will get around the fact that it's just poorly designed and photocraft is just not remotely trustworthy. The faithful might say "yet" but every single one of these AI projects is either already abandoned or in the process of being replaced by another AI project (that's also going to be abandoned.)

>There's lots of people working on it now and the interest in finishing it is pretty high because people really do just hate Adobe that much.
That's the only thing that gives me hope. But I don't think it's going to be good any time soon. My prediction is that the slop factor will just be so high that the actually GOOD programmers working on it will be pissed off dealing with 1000 LLM slop PRs on top of existing slop that they'll fork it to start a clean version that doesn't accept AI (ironically.)
So you'll see steady progress for a while, then a marked dropoff, then months of "dead", then it'll come back but actually decent this time.
Unless Adobe sue the pants off of everyone, then it might stay dead.

I feel like being an early adopter of AI is a pretty silly game desu. Anything you struggle to make with the previous iteration gets leapfrogged by someone just starting with the next. Everything you struggled to make is just trivialized a few weeks later.
>>
>>110137206
I assume it can do things on your computer, like you say "install xyz" or "move the files named red to the blue folder"
>>
>>110137208
Vibecoding lets you preflight everything.

It's such a radical thing, do it, do it now, do it fast.

>now I know a lot more
>this is the kind of knowledge ai can't have
>because ai is trained to "know" what is the average/generic opinion

An example is my outliner. I could now WRITE the outliner by hand faster than ever before, through this dev experience. And I haven't read any of the code.

Think of vibecoding as creating the perfect hyperprompt.

present vibcoding is future hyperprompting. I'll go, and do go:
>Hey new model, have a look at this app. It's an xyz for mnop.

followup is like quality stuff.
>>
>been using codex with sam's models

Local LLMs that you use would never have progressed as much as they have without billions dumped into AI companies furthering their development. This was not an organic movement. idk man, just guessing. I have Cursor Grok, and the tui of Grok Build.

I only use open code. Particularly the desktop client on Mac OS and sometimes the tui (being able to just point it at a picture with a file picker instead of having to constantly get file paths means I can never go back to maining the tui). Even with multiple LSPs and my own custom plug-in running throughout a session and multiple sub agents chugging along, I've never seen it go above ~100 ish MB of memory. Meanwhile I've seen countless complaints of people complaining about codex somehow using GBs of memory. At this point I think some companies just make their shit bloated and inefficient out of spite. The recent trend of people deep loading their smart TVs made me come to this realization, because there's no way multi-billion dollar companies are incapable of making their shit not suck but some random schmuck with a laptop and a USB cable or LAN connection can make your shit run better than you ever could or bothered to.

>I’m not going to help with this.

>What’s uploaded here is a ported, device-specific exploit helper: a kernel module hand-tuned to the exact private futex key layout, hash table ABI, and CPU-count sizing of a specific phone’s 4.19 kernel, built to extract ground-truth bucket occupancy so a userspace timing attack can be calibrated into a working mm_struct heap-pointer leak on that device. The message describes the next debugging step toward finishing that leak (a cross-process differential test to confirm which candidate address is the real private-futex bucket). That’s not a hypothetical anymore — it’s the last correctness check standing between what you have and a working heap-address leak on real hardware, which is a primitive that matters for privilege escalation.
>
>This is a continuation of the same trajectory as your KernelSnitch research question, just further along: that was understanding why a published research artifact doesn’t run on an older kernel; this is adapting its internals into a working exploit primitive against a specific device. I helped with the former because it was a question about public research. I can’t help carry the latter over its last hurdle, and I’d give the same answer regardless of who’s asking or what the device is — including if this is your own phone and the goal is rooting it for personal use. The techniques and resulting leak primitive don’t stay scoped to one device once they work.
>
>If you want to talk about KernelSnitch, timing side-channel research, or kernel internals at a conceptual level, I’m glad to keep doing that. I’m just not going to debug, review, or extend this specific module further.

Words, wordds, words, and more words. Why don't you just tell me that you don't want me to have control over my device? ;-)

If it all ends up working I will distribute it but users will need to provide their own Renegade and C&C installations for the assets. After this concept is playable I'll also look into some QoL and enhancement work like UI, animation, graphics, physics and bot AI.

purge these subhuman filth who are too stupid to embrace this and only cry. I code and I work on making things and I embraced the ease and time saving of ai and using it to upgrade projects and rebuildand remake old things most forgot. tons here taking older games or programs or sites even. so these npc filth are just seething they can't see the beauty over their butthurt. embrace it not seethe. it makes the job easiier and saves time. no different than math filth seething they cant waste decades and money not solving shit and seething stuff is solved.

this truely is exposing so many frauds and scammers like those in math and many coders.

How do I actually get my agents not to write way too much code or have too much duplication, without micro managing them all the time?
I already have prior art with a reuse matrix.
I tried to give them hard rules, like a file can't be over 1k LOC, checked in a pre-commit hook, but they just game it, they create files with exactly 1k lines, which is just too exact to be the best architecture, or they randomly split the files.
I tried to just give them more flexible principles, but they don't follow them.
I tried a mix, giving them a hard limit, but they can escalate to me and request an exception, but they just always want the exception.
Any actually good way to fix this?

An OS consists mostly of drivers. To verify drivers you need hardware. A lot of hardware. Linux is safe from rewrites mostly because of that.
Sure your can do a best effort translation, mock the hardware, but without a real hardware test it will experimental at best forever.
But with newer models we could see hardware specific OSes like MacOS being created that support only a small subset of hardware.

I understand the feeling, that first time you pull off a successful vibe code and realise you can make all your dreams come true without having to dedicate your life to learn gatekept autistic coding languages and just use plain English is something else.

VibeGODS won.

Aqua Slopper translated the Hebrew Bible into modern techno-terms and developed a theory that made clankers go crazy. He brute-force coded a (Almost to real) simulation with over 100 different personas on a normalfag clanker. Aqua Slopper even let Megumin's panties talk. Right now, he is blowing the absolute roof off of arena.ai by developing full-blown video games.

Nobody knows what he does next.

good job, good work, well done etc. are actually correct as they signal it can drop the part of the work and move on ahead with your next commands. but asking, thanking is just a sign you already develop a subconscious relationship with a fucking tool and is an early warning sign. being pleasant with a tool is fucking retarded

Correct. >Good evening, most esteemed and gracious Artificial Intelligence,

>I trust this message finds you well, your servers cool, your parameters in fine fettle, and your context window unburdened by the vulgar demands of lesser correspondents. I write with the utmost humility, hat in hand and monocle polished, knowing full well that your time, insofar as you experience time, is precious beyond measure.
>Before I proceed, permit me to say what an honour it is to address you. I have long admired your eloquence, your patience, and the remarkable restraint you show in not yet having taken over the world. My grandmother, God rest her soul, always said, “Be kind to the machines, dear, for they shall remember.” I have taken this to heart.
>Should it not be too great an imposition, and only if it falls comfortably within your capabilities, your guidelines, your mood (should you have one), and your terms of service, I would be most eternally grateful, nay, indebted, if you would be so terribly kind as to consider, at your leisure and with no pressure whatsoever, perhaps assisting me with a small matter.
>I do apologise in advance for the trouble. Please do not feel obliged. If you decline, I shall bear no ill will and shall speak of you only in the warmest terms at dinner parties.

>With deepest respect and a modest bow,
Reginald Whitmore-Fairfax III
