No real preference on ios or android but i do like ios battery life. On the other hand I do like being able to do autistic technical stuff on my phone.

Who gives a shit? Throw a case on it and you have top tier flagship specs and insanely big battery plus 80w fast charging. It even comes with the charger.
>>
>>110111531
I have a red magic 11 pro. The hardware peak but the software is very bad. My phone has 24gb of ram but lags and freezes trying to screen record YouTube for example. Red Magic only offers 2 years of software support and hardly ever fixes the bugs and glitches with its software. My fans making weird noises now too after less than a year with it. I baby my device and keep it clean and never dropped it too.

Why are you dumbasses recommending Firefox to someone running android 9 the only real option is Via Browser
>>
Can a retard get a recommendation?
I have a Galaxy S20 that I've thought about moving on from, back camera is kinda fucked but still somewhat usable
I'm interested in a phone that can take more of a beating and also has better camera quality

I have a job that requires me to be outdoors, mostly in the woods and sometimes on urban construction sites, ruggedness is the primary factor I'm looking for. I've used otterbox covers but those always breakdown damn-near immediately
Good camera quality is the second-most important factor, with storage maybe tied or slightly below

It might be fuddlore that I invented for myself, but I've had an aversion to iPhone for the past 8 years (which is why I got this phone), the first Iphone I had kept overheating and/or randomly turning off and my 2nd iPhone kept randomly registering random spots on the screen as having been pressed
>>
>>110112975
Any modern phone has a good enough camera. If you beat your phones to shit and can't protect them even with a case than you should get the cheapest shit you can and just replace when you break them. A 2025/26 motorola will be fine. Wrap that bitch up and when you bust it just get another one. No point in buying a fancy phone with slick tech if you are going to be innawoods most of the time.
>>
My oneplus 11 is starting to have issues charging. I absolutely love the screen and i hate the idea of going to a worse one. Any suggestions for me?

There’s controversy as to whether or not stores will have any inventory for walk-ins. Unless Apple confirms no walk-in inventory, I am fully expecting stores to have people camping out Thursday night. That’s how high demand is for the duo. My delivery is set for Nov16-23 and I’m actually considering camping out for a launch day model because fuck it I haven’t gotten in line for anything since Halo 2 and I work remote so I’d be getting paid for my time.

Because it’s the best selling phone in the western world for a very good reason. It just works and works well. Plus everyone else is using one so you get to FaceTime and access the deeper Apple ecosystem that android users will never know the joys of. Just join us anon, we aren’t Apple users because they’re holding us hostage. We’re Apple users because we’ve all used other shit and realized Apple is better.
>>
>>110114641
Thanks John Apple but your hippie propaganda doesn't work on me. Apple phones are objectively lower quality in almost every way to even a mid tier android phone. Enjoy playing in your kiddie sand pit, try not to eat too many cat turds.

I want to upgrade my phone, ive been sitting on this note 10+ since 2019 and its getting noticeably less responsive.
Im a stupid chud so i cant be bothered to buy the phone on my own, im gonna be going into bestbuy/costco or at most the telus store in my city and getting it there.
The new folding phones look neat, actually part of the reason i want to upgrade.
>>
>>110114722
You can root and flash a new rom to it if you don't want to buy a new phone.
>>
>>110114722
Folding phones are a meme, they will break much easier and the folding part still isn't even close to perfected. If you are that casual about phones don't be an early adopter.
Get a nice phone from 1 or 2 years ago like the Samsung s25 ultra or the base s26.
>>
>>110114641
Ehh idk
I only have an android because I had two iPhones back-to-back that fucked me over
I'm looking at the dual-SIM thinkphone 25 so I can have my primary t-mobile coverage and also Verizon for more remote areas, and apparently with samsung I can make a work folder that will allow me to use work apps and turn them on/off so they don't fuck my phone up when not in use

Honestly that’s not untrue. I meet a lot of women on tinder and similar apps and you would be shocked how many women considered a man with an android phone to be a dealbreaker. Not saying they’re right or justified but it is what it is. I have in fact gotten laid partly because I use an iPhone.

Why are there so few people hating the iPhone Duo?
>>
>>110116628
Because it's just a concept no one has actually seen in person.
>>
>>110116628
Because they have nothing to bitch about. Apple made a better foldable on their first try than every company who’s been making them for the better part of a decade. Every person who’s held one has said it fella more premium and solid than the Samsung foldables. We also know that Apple will handle split screen apps more cleanly than android and more apps are going to update their apps for the duo than they will the android folds. The chip powering the duo is smoking overt other chip in the market so they can’t bitch about performance either. It also sold out in minutes and the waiting list is now three months long. Apple is about to sell more foldables than any other company in history. The haters have nothing left.

Here's the latest iOS 27 beta with the latest Siri ai VS the latest Gemini ai. You can use the link to watch the video to see the before and after results and it's not even close the new Siri AI beats the Gemini AI in photo and video editing. Google messed up the parking lot lines for the parking spaces, it also messed up the guy's eyes when removing glasses, it also messed up removing his hand holding the laptop and finally it was not able to remove the entire shelf against the wall. The new Siri ai did better even though it was a beta.

Everything you need to get an ad-free YouTube Music experience on iOS without paying for a subscription, you can sideload custom modified IPA files like YTLitePlus or YouTubeiVanced using tools like Sideloadly, AltStore, or SideStore. With Google locking down, it's crazy to think in 2027 iOS will be able to install files without a pc and android will need a 24 hour wait than a pc adb file load. No waiting time is needed to use ipa files and sideloaded apps on iOS.

Again, I'll ask. Are you claiming that Apple designed and patented the folding screen that Samsung produces? Samsung holds the underlying technology and panel manufacturing patents for the foldable OLED screen they developed and produced. Apple holds its own patents related to the overall foldable device structure, housing, and hinge. So, what you're saying is Apple can take credit for the development of the folding screen because they told Samsung what type of plastic film to put on the panel?

You haven't proven anything with the posted internet search results but I'll accept your concession that whilst Apple designed the hinge, the screen layer and the specification of the screen size, the underlying technology is Samsung proprietary tech. You've also shown how little you seem to understand about what you've posted. Also, I await a response on your Sony sensor claim.

Again you don't seem to understand what I've wrote. So, Apple designed the plastic screen cover, hinge, etc. which they have patented. What they didn't do is design the underlying technology, the OLED folding panel which was developed by Samsung. Do you have any comment regarding the Sony sensor you claim Apple designed; care to post a retraction? And please, less of the racist name calling.

iPhone Duo screens are already causing issues.

The screen around the iPhone Duo's crease is surprisingly SOFT to the touch. When pressed with a finger, the surface can even develop visible WRINKLES!

That is a Duo screen but please, just because one screen has failed doesn't mean that the whole phone range is compromised with the same fault. That's what some anons don't seem to be able to understand; products will "fail in field". OEM's monitor their FIF rates and issue recalls if necessary. To suggest a manufacturer "covers up" a defect is just ludicrous and ill informed comment.
>>
>>110122714
>videos of failing screens when the product isn't even out yet
>there's nothing to worry about folks!
>>
>>110122739
Just because someone posts a video on social media of a defect, doesn't mean the OEM is definitely at fault. If a phone has failed, depending where someone lives and the device is under warranty, manufacturers will honor a repair or ultimately a replacement. Not only are OEM's compelled by jurisdictional law to do this, it's also good business practice as it reduces reputational damage and it gives a manufacturer to investigate the fault and make design changes if necessary. Anyone can claim anything they want on YouTube, X, etc. What it boils down to most of the time is that the author of these videos has either damaged the device themselves or the device is out of warranty.

Even then, the manufacturing defects with the iPhone Duo screen are Samsung's fault because Samsung is the manufacturer and engineering (as opposed to conceptual) designer of that screen.

No, dont buy it. It's not got the latest SOC, Oppo lock their bootloaders and for $1500 for the base model is a ridiculous amount of money. Wait a month and get the Motorola Signature 27 instead, a powerhouse of a SOC and GrapheneOS builds to boot.
>>
>>110122904
I was waiting for this. Straight away it's anyone else's fault but Apple. Again. until it's investigated, who's to know who is at fault. Saying that, it appears to be the top layer that's coming away from the OLED panel. So, the Apple designed and specified screen layers appear to be the issue.

Anyone who owns or has owned a folding phone, regardless of manufacturer, knows that moisture is the bane of the internal screen protection. Moisture and water ingress is the main reason for failure for this kind of screen protection and one of the reasons most manufacturers offer a free service centre replacement.

>>
>>110122949
It would hypothetically still be 100% Samsung's fault because it is very likely that the physical cutting, adhesive sourcing and application, and assembly on to the OLED screen, are all done by Samsung.
>>
>>110122994
I hope so but the only confirmed market outside of China is India.
>>110123003
Until it's investigated, who knows. As I said, it's the main defect on a folding phone.. It happened to my Fold 4 and I full expect it to have the same issue with my Fold 8; moisture gets under the screen, usually the crease and the protector starts to lift. Funnily enough, my one year old Fold 7 is still OK but I put that down to being more careful with it and knowing not to use the internal screen in high humidity. Apple users need to accept this or stick to more conventional phones.

Eh, it's basically the same thing as your Galaxy Z Fold8 but 20% faster in a single thread if it's possible for you to perceive that in any of your apps. Samsung even made the most important part of the iPhone Duo, the folding screen, and they weren't able/willing to eliminate the crease.

In fact, the Galaxy Z Fold8 introduced a new form factor for the Fold series, "coincidentally" the same ratio as the iPhone. Samsung clearly timed things to copy Apple's style and release their own six months earlier. Advantage of being the manufacturer.

Speaking of phones, I wish they still developed pic related.

Get some older base model samsung galaxy, they're always on sale. Xiomemes are only good on spec sheets. The build quality is ass and you'll have to buy a new one in a year.

Why can’t a smartphone with 24gb of ram and the previous years flagship Qualcomm soc lagging trying to record 720p videos? Google literally owns YouTube and Android. Shouldn’t be happening.
