Okay basically I am overweight now and it sucks.

I used to be into cardio when I was in uni, but a few years later I got lazy.

I am 191 pounds and 5'10 so its not obesity yet, but I have terrible fat distribution AND I felt pain in my fingertips after eating two large slices of cake from a bakery yesterday.

I don't want to get diabetes or become a true ham planet so its like this.

I got this cable machine (picrel) and I will go walking outside at least 2-3 times a week for a few miles (in florida so winter is basically nonexistent).

What can I do with this sucker it looks confusing.

I want to ascend from chud to chad and I am willing to put in the work.

Well you pull on the cable attachments and the cable pulls the weight simple as chief.

Start off by just having a black coffee and going on nice long (1-hour) walks.
    >>
    >>77590256
Fix your diet, drink less alcohol, use your machine to train strength, go for walks or better yet runs. Not really sure what else you're after lol.

    >2-3 times a week for a few miles
    try 2-3 times a day

do a walk when you get up and a walk in the evening. also have small 10 minute walks after meals.

What are you even saying? Advice to lose weight? Do you not understand how much information there is by just typing your question into Ai? Youd get a answer instantly.

My guess is you just want interaction from other people because youre lonely. Get a grip, son.

These "how do I lose weight" questions never go anywhere because there is always only 1 thing to say and it never gets followed:

count your calories, track your calories, and eat at a caloric deficit

It is physically impossible to lose weight if you eat less. No one is an exception.

i'm also 5'10" but 245 lbs but i look skinny in the gym. i get mogged by bodybuilders i coach all the time. i tried to be a fridge by fattening myself to 300lbs on multiple occasions but failed. at least once in a while, i eat a whole cake by myself. right now just maintaining at 200-250g protein, 500-700g carbs and a massive amount of fat.

not true. 99% of /fit faggots have shitty body and don't know how to lift properly before we even discuss bodybuilding.

the typical /fit poster talks like he is a pro bodybuilder, but not able to walk the walk.

… what? You just go to a bakery and eat cake? Anon, if you want to “ascend” you need some perspective. Normal healthy people don’t just wander into bakeries and ask for cake. I’ve never done that in my life. Or even been tempted to.

    >berberine
    >bump cardio to 5x week
    >keep doing cable machine
Desu you could also ask your doc for some metformin; it'd help ward off the 'beetus and speed up w8 loss a little more than just berberine. I wouldn't bother with GLP-1s tho, just focus on recomping and dropping to the low end of overweight with more muscle.

Here's what might have helped me:

    > me
    > depressed over ex gf & want her back
    > imagine getting in shape would do it so visit /fit/
    > see zyzz
    > must have been in troll thread bc lots of anons talking about how he was natty
    > get the [false] impression gear is looked down upon and people are looking like zyzz natty
    > begin working out & dieting appropriately while believing i too can eventually look like him
    > get in best shape of my life, fall in love w sport of bodybuilding, compete, place top 5 always, go to nationals the following year, etc.
    > eventually don't care about ex
    > find out zyzz wasn't natty but don't care bc happy with body

re. competing: it was only a year after npc introduced men's physique, so that's the division i went with. and since it was supposed to be geared toward "beach bodies" and not monsters (regardless of whether gear monsters entered or not [they did]) they always needed the token natty to place. That was usually me. Got smoked out of the water in nationals, though (but so what; I was just happy to go).

But yea so, my point i suppose is that getting shredded is literally just doing the work with the diet. That's it. Now a buncha years later, I've started my first cycles and yes, am happy with that too lol. Idk. Good luck. You can do it.

wait, one thing i should add:

it took me 3 months before I actually saw progress, which was astonishing really, the before & after. And at that point, that's when gym became addiction. I was like, "if only going to the gym 3 nights a week and eating moderately clean does this, i'm gonna go 5 nights a week and eat immaculately." And that's really what did it. It helped that back then DMAA was available in preworkouts and fat burners. Harder to find now but it's still out there.
