I try to eat more simple carbs to purposely insulin spike, also timing and when to add slower digesting carbs or fiber to prevent going low blood sugar before bed or you need to feel full. Basically fruit juices are optimal for extra vitamins and fast insulin spike and hunger. You can access slightly higher protein usage so you build more muscle per hour which means you can eat more protein per meal but it also is used up faster. Too much fats will slow your digestion slightly but only in the sense that you have so much food to digest, being extra full is probably perfectly fine especially once you have more muscle and have already lifted and are more just topping off stuff in the gym a lot but are at 1 or 2 rest days max for a few weeks if you are really trying to put on some mass.
>maintain physique
Fuck that if I'm lifting a lot I'm bulking and maintaining/cutting is just the same thing but worse gains. To diet first and lift around that is about as retarded as you can get. If I want to not lift and not let my physique change too much I just use the bulking technique with carbs to put myself into high enough insulin to have energy but also just prefer to be satiated enough all the time.

To maintain physique you need protein and exercise. Low volume intense workouts are enough for maintenance

Can you elaborate on this strategy to prevent low blood sugar when going to bed? Do you just eat a big pile of complex carbs for dinner or something?

I seem to get my body into this state where the muscles are sucking all the glucose from my blood and i feel like sometimes I just have to drink milk or even eat random shit in the middle of the night to be able to fall asleep.

Eggs and biscuits in the morning, usually 4 eggs and as many biscuits as I can stomach.

Something canned for lunch, usually some ravioli.
(by this point I am usually still feeling full from breakfast)

For dinner it's usually something cheap and easy like spaghetti or hamburger helper
(this is when I get indigestion and have to take a tums or risk waking up in the middle of the night with acid reflux)

I am 5'11 (180.3 cm), 165-170 lbs. Forever lanklet due to long, thin, bones, 6.9 inch (17.9 cm) wrist circumference.
