Why whenever someone is not gaining mass but gaining strength it's always le just eat more. So how is he gaining strength? You're constantly breaking down your body, yet strength gains keep occurring.
Neural adaptations, changes in technique or they are actually gaining mass and just haven't measured properly.
>>77588721Going from zero pull ups to 30kg with added weight can't be just neural adaptions unless that's DYEL beginner tier lift.
>>77588718Another factor is maingaining. It's slow, but the body can use up some fat stores for energy and construct muscle mass (moreso from the protein in food, which it would be conveniently not using at that point for energy because it's using the fat instead).
>>77588750I don’t know if there is a way to figure out how much muscle tissue is required for a given activity but obviously you are stronger than what it seems when you first start something so you might be able to do them with atleast some amount of added weight.

>>77588750If you're in the position to do pull ups for reps as a beginner you are already very light.30kgs is an exaggeration I assume but it would still be possible with cns adaptations and slowly adding to it.I used to be able to do it with 20kgs (backpack though) after months of lifting for the first time and eating like 800-1200 calories, I looked like a skeleton in the end but was strong.
