Do you prefer to do pullups before or after your compound lifts? Each will tire you out for the other.

After, because I consider pull-ups an endurance lift. In terms of "functional strength" I want to be able to lift my body regardless of how tired I am from other activities, and in terms of aesthetics I understand that bodyweight exercise won't make my shoulders in to boulders.

How many consecutive pullups can you do fresh, vs how many can you do at the end of a workout?
I am a pulluplet and feel like I would struggle to do even a single one when I am tired at the end of my workout
For chads who are not pulluplets how much difference does it make?
>>

When I started doing pullups I used a resistance band tied to the bar and around my (bent) knees. Got me used to the movement, how to activate muscles correctly, and of course it is easier. Like starting with lighter weights.

Before. Pull ups are the best back exercise so there is no reason to not start with them

pull ups are a compound lift

>"lift"
lol
>>
>>77585464
You lift your body up. So yes its a lift
>>
>>77585494
no I pull my body up
>>
>>77585499
If it goes upwards then the position of the object has changed vertical position relative to its original location. Therefore it is a lift.

You won't build good back without some type of rows. Agree about Shitlifts though.
>>
If you are looking for progress in pull up power, do them fresh.

If you are doing endurance or tendon strength, do them whenever.

3x10 pull ups is the golden number.
When you reach it, give it a lot of time to adapt. Just maintain it for few months at least. Focus on other stuff.

It's a decision that will keep you going for a long time.

why are you shilling a random website?

Lmao let's help him and make some before and after of course a roider 4wks 20lbs of pure muscle unless you are a faggot.

Because he may have more questions

Pull-ups are a compound lift, and I treat them as one of my main lifts. I do them with a neutral grip and I add weight with a dip belt.
I'm currently at +23.75kg (82kg bodyweight) for 3x5 reps.
>>
>>77586760
>neutral grip
What made you chose this?
>>
>>77586896
Not the quoted but it's the grip where the elbow flexors are the strongest so they have less chance to be the first muscle to fail. Also it's the most comfy for my unc elbows.
>>
>>77586896
>>77587335
Same reasons here. It's just more comfortable and it lets me apply more force.
>>
Pullups are a compound exercise i dont understand your question.
>>
>>77587335
>>77587353
Wouldn't it make more sense to do an exercise in a way that hits the weak points of that exercise the hardest? In this case, doing the pullup with a pronated grip?

you know what OP means
>>
>>77585171
>inb4 an idiot says deadlifts are a back exercise
They objectively are. Does the posterior chain not include the back now or something? Are squats not a leg exercise because they also work the core?
>>
>>77584883
>pullups are an accessory
dude they are a heavy compound. You would probably look better doing nothing but pullups and pushups then whatever you think you are doing at Planet Fitness.
>>
I prefer to do pull ups after push ups. I do double the push ups. (If im doing 100 push ups, im also doing 50 pull ups)
>>
>>77588773
>>pullups are an accessory
who are you quoting?
>>
>>77589315
OP split pullups and compound lifts into two categories
>>

and?
