I joined gym last week after quitting multiple times in the past years. I just don't know what I am doing anymore. I know if I try I can get some friends, and even become normal, but in the end I doubt it will make me happy. I just hate this world for what it has become. I feel angry that I just can't do anything but disengage and move away. This site is my only outlet for any kind of social activity despite me knowing it is filled with trolling mods, bots and feds that intercede and ruin discussions. But it is still better than "nothing". Guys even if it is all meaningless, we should still continue fighting. You will feel extremely bad if you are laying down and doing nothing. Lifting is good. Be strong and positive, and fight through. You will reach somewhere and anywhere is better than nowhere.

>>77576915Two years ago the girl I was dating for five years and was going to be my wife left me. The grief has just begun for you I'm afraid, it's gonna get worse before it gets better. Just make sure to not do anything out of character, do not lose yourself in hookups, booze or any other kind self destructive activity. Do not force yourself in any rebound relationships, that's just going to cause more harm than good and you will regret it sooner rather than later. The dating world is absolutely brutal so be prepared to be left on read or even blocked for the most minor things. Do not download dating apps. They're a fucking cesspool of self absorbed narcissists and/or recently broken up people. Even the real world is full of indecisive and uncaring people. Just two days ago I met a girl, got a date on the same day, spent a wonderful evening together just for her to text me that she's "not in a good headspace to get in a relationship". Not a day goes by that I don't regret my big breakup. For context I'm handsome, 6ft and fit, have a decent job and actual prospects for a career, my own place, my own car, I'm more than social and have my own fair share of hobbies. My dad was married with kids at my age. Now I'm struggling to find a proper woman. That's just the way it is nowadays. You just have to endure it. Good luck my friend.
>>77570120>This site is my only outlet for any kind of social activityI would encourage you to find local community groups, hobby groups or similar where you could get some "normal" interaction. For me my local church has become a great place and they don't forcefeed religion, its merely for social gains and finding stuff to do. I have found several places through that one entrypoint and I feel a lot more connected and content.>I know if I try I can get some friends, and even become normal, but in the end I doubt it will make me happyNot trying will make you unhappy, trust me I've been there and its not fun. I've a few friends a lot more aquitances and even if I'm not happy as a clam, I'm far better off than before.>I feel angry that I just can't do anything but disengage and move awayI felt the same but becoming involved in my local community gave me the feeling of being useful and being able to affect things

It's fucking gay as shit. Once u have sex like ten times u stop giving a fuck and sacrificing your body so some whore can attempt to spread u a nice disease is just lame. Attention seeking shit gang. Nobody cares they just see u and are worried for your enlarged organs and your protruding trt stomach. Do it for the love of the game like big lenny that's the only way it's valid. >>77585151>>77578547As long as you have heavy enough weight, there really isn't an upper age limit until you are getting to like 70. And even then, it's even more crucial to lift. For all the older folks: All of the "age related" issues you see/read about (lower test, etc) are mostly caused by the accumulation of a sedentary, non-exercising lifestyle that is ubiquitous across the population (all statistical measures are always across populations/samples, not individuals). If you specifically look at 1) adults who workout, 2) aren't obese or underweight, 3) eat a healthy diet, and 4) get adequate sleep, you basically see no real decline in just about anything until way late in life. There is never a bad time to start lifting, and you never can "miss the window". You are always looking at two diverging paths: One you start working out today, the other you don't. Compare those futures, and what do they look like?>t 10 year alcoholic who quit and started working out again at 34, lost 80lbs, now I'm about as fit as I was when I was a college fuckboi, feel/look amazing

>>77568845Nice folder fren.
Bros, I just did my blood tests and the results revealed while everything was fairly normal, including my blood glucose levels, my triglycerides are super high. And I'm pretty obese at 31-32 BMI.Gemini told me low blood sugar, paired with high BMI and high triglycerides is one of the earliest signs of diabetes. I do have a family history of diabetes but those usually showed up much later in life for them. The fact I am seeing those signs now is worrying.I saw one of my family members progressively degenerate from diabetes symptons, and she suffered a lot in her last years. I am absolutely offing myself if I get any hint of getting diabetes. Its more joever than I could've fathomed.
>>77594487>The fact I am seeing those signs now is worrying. You're literally obese. Why are you worried? No offense, but you let yourself get to this point knowing full well and good that you had a history of familial diabetes.Anyway, you may know implication of change or requisition for advice so idk what you want
>>77572363>>77569019>it's not le heckin CONSISTENT bro!it doesn't have to be. it just needs to get me through this block. you can't positivity your way through a 20 rep squat.even if my long term goals are driven primarily by positive thoughts, i still gotta dig deep to get my hard sets done.
>>77594510Why are you doing 20 rep sets of squats to begin with? How about putting some actual weight on the bar and doing it for a normal rep range?
>>77594507I guess diabetes always seemed so far away, and being young I can shake off my unhealthy lifestyle. I never really was concerned. And while I did workout and diet before, as college and work got in the way and I got busier, I gave up on that too. Its crept up on me slowly when it was out of my mind.
>>77594514Yeah like I said I dont know what you want
>>77594523I want to reverse the effects. But as I said, since the effects of these are permanent, I can't exactly rebuild my pancreas or insulin resistance.
>>77594527You've made no implication up until now that you want to reverse the effects, but no, the effects of these are not permanent if it's type 2 diabetes. And if it's type 1 diabetes, Having signs/symptoms of diabetes means you still have a functioning pancreas and your insulin is still effective and being produced. If you had acquired type 1 diabetes and had not been using insulin you'd be dead right now.Since you have a familial history of diabetes, I'm assuming you have some knowledge about it, In which case you know the signs and symptoms of type 1 and type 2 - Which means if your familial diabetes was Type 1, you'd know that there's obviously still tons of hope right now. And you'd know that Type 2 is reversible. My point is, I don't know why you're posting or why you are saying what you're saying. Unless you just want pity from people and you don't want to actually change your lifestyle or situation.
>>77594531>the effects of these are not permanent if it's type 2 diabetespretty sure its not my man. My family members did have type-2 diabetes. Had to take insulin lifelong.
>>77594536It's not, and type 2 diabetes is insulin resistance. It's not an insulin deficiency. By losing weight, which you don't want to do, you can increase your insulin sensitivity. That's called reversal of effects. Type 2 diabetics typically do not take insulin.
