>SOTD: Bogue MEMevery version of lavender all at once, i love it
>>18788953for years you've been talking to yourself and posting the same yestyear's instaslop du jour frags every day. toddler brained schizo, ever since you took over this general it went to shit.
>>18788958sure thing, buddypost SOTD of top3 for the season
Why make a second thread retard?Sure the OP of the previous one fucked up but now we are split in half, that's even worse
Rate my favorite fragrances>Baccarat rouge 540 extrait>Absolu aventus>Ysl tuxedo>Naxos>Angels share
>>18788990>the other thread is a fuckup>why did you make another threadBecause the other is a fuckup.>we are split in halfNo worries, it's just OP samefagging in his fuckup of a thread.>>18788992Good, nauseatingly boring, good but basic when so many other better patch frags exist, good but overpriced, good but even more overpriced.SOTD: Ambre Nuit
>>18788992Hey guy, Jeremy Fragrance here, the NUMBER 1 fragrance reviewer who follows the teachings of Jesus. I had a gay experience once, it lasted 10 years.Anyways, you should try Office by Fragrance One.
>>18788995Hit me with some based patchouli. Already have straight to heaven, orage, baie 19 all of which I really enjoy
>>18788996
>2 threadsCame here to say amber fucking sucks.
>>18788990because he's an eternally butthurt samefagging brainlet whose life revolves around policing this general. this is the guy thanking himself for his own recs.
>>18788996You are just jealous of my immaculate tastes
>>18788997Psychedelique, very rich and multifaceted, earthy, dark chocolate.Coromandel, clean, very french, white chocolate (also overpriced).Sticky Fingers, super thick and buttery, lots of orris.Patchouly, warm, woody, a bit creamy, the most focused-on-patch of the four.
What am I in for?I picked it because it was stated to be the gold standard in anise scents.
>>18788953Don’t even bother responding to him. What are the different versions of lavender? It’s not something I sample often, note wise.
>>18788992I can’t tell if you’re memeing or serious.Regardless, they’re all good scents and are popular for a reason. None that I would consider my favorite but they’re solid fragrances ignoring the price
>>18789062the Bogue webpage claims "lavender (4 different species)" but it's not specified further, fragrantica claims "Lavender, Lavender Extract, Wild Lavender and Blue Lavender" but what i really mean is that to me it smells like all different facets of lavender at the same time: lavender (flower), lavender (essential oil), the petals crushed between your fingers, a lavender field in scorching heat + probably other facets i don't even recognizehopefully this makes sense to you
>>18789045I need to try psychedelique. Coromandel gave me public bathroom vibes>>18789067I'm deadly serious give me some other recommendations
>>18789068Ahh, yes, that does make sense. Thank you.
>never worn cologne all my life (34yo)>friends get deep into fragrances>they buy thousands worth of niche and designer fragrances>all they talk about is fragrances>one of them shows me Blue Talisman>I like it>I order it, and a sample of The Hedonist and Demon Dancer>I realize how great it feels to have a nice scent>I prefer Demon Dancer to Blue Talisman, should probably get a bottle of that as well>I need a fall/winter fragrance too>Order another sample pack from Ex NihiloIs this how it starts? Three weeks ago I had never worn cologne and now my Youtube algorithm is just fragrance content and I'm thinking about buying another 2 bottles.
>>18789101Welcome to our downward spiral into the abyss of scent.
>>18789101yes, welcome to Mr. Bones' Wild Ride(the ride never ends)
>>18789088>Im deadly serious It’s very NPC core but that’s not importantConsider something by Ex Nihilo, I’d suggest Demon Dancer so you have something for warmer weather.Ani by Nishane would probably be right up your alley.Angels Share on the Rocks is also worth considering.Try a decant of Black Phantom by Killian>>18789101Yeah pretty much
Very organic conversation, not in the usual samefagging style at all.
>>18789101Also, better realize right now that you can't predict what a frag smells like based on the advertised notes and accords. Even detailed descriptions by reviewers won't give you an accurate picture since different people smell things differently.
>>18789118I've tried everything you mentioned and they are all just ok to me. Shit I just realized I spent thousands on decants. I'm retarded
>>18789101dont rush into buying new bottles. your taste changes the most when you first get started and theres a good likelihood you wont care about half the fragrances you "loved" a year down the road
>>18789101Yes, then you hopefully realize there's nothing new under the sun, all fragrances are just rehashed slop of the same core categories invented a hundred years ago, like Fougère or chypre etc. If some house release a new hit everyone will just copy it with some slight variation of notes so that everyone is following the same trend. Regardless of what the note list says it basically smells the same. Like reinventing coca cola. There are for sure some beautiful and unique to discover and enjoy, but most of it is quite overrated and not worth spending thousands on. Not to mention the steadily increasing list of IFRA banned chemicals cucking great fragrances so they have to be reformulated into ghosts of their former selves.
Rate my favorite scents (and please recommend me some other stuff):>LADDM & ACDD>Ambre Levant>Sundowner>Babycat>Oud Ispahan
>>18789170The black Knight.
ne posztold újra és újra ugyanazt a hülyeségetsotd sauvage edt
>>18789088Also try Incident Diplomatique, it is more of a bitter earthy patchouli, less warm than Psychedelique but I like it a little better.
>>18789163brutal trvke
>>18789196>trvkeStop trying bro, it's not a thing and it’s not gonna be a thing.
>>18789052Y-you know theres a male version of this right?
SOTD It's nice but also vanilla slop. It made me realize how PdM is a vanilla slop house. The only scents I really like are Haltane, Greenly, and Castley.
I have a decant of this coming next. What is it like
>>18789284Weird. The freshly printed magazine and suede leather comparisons are pretty accurate. Has the same mineral-metallic characteristic other Bisch fragrances like Le Sel and Bois Imperial have. I like this one more desu but not sure when I would ever wear it
>>18789299I had a bois imperial sample a while ago. I remember thinking it smelled sharp and also had a motor oil quality about it. I think I liked it
>>18789284curry sweat
>>18789312Sweet
>>18789284It’s definitely an oddball scent. I bought a 5ml decant and upgraded to a 30 ml, but the 30ml is enough for the rest of my life. After 10-15 ml the novelty wears off and it’s just kind of a weird scent that doesn’t really fit any occasion. Don’t regret the 30 ml, but won’t be replacing, or even using all of it any time soon. A 100 ml bottle would be an heirloom.
Have you decided what you'll wear on Christmas Eve?
>>18789338Same as always, Egoiste.
>>18789338I'll be at church so Byzantine Amber.
>>18789338probably a tossup between >>18789346 and >>18789351, actuallyto add a new one, Hermes Bel Ami Vetiver
>>18789316Really anxious to see what it's all about
>>18789338Avignon
What is the best lavender without heavy vanilla?
>>18789338Obviously something sweet it's supposed to be a cozy family time.
>>18789399see >>18788953>>18789338probably one of these>HdP Encens Roi>Boclet Tobacco>Nicolai Vanille Tonka>Rogue Tabac Vert>Lutens Chergui
>>18789426>Rogue Tabac VertInteresting choice. Not something I would typically think, why this?
>>18789463no particular reason apart from it being a comfy frag
>>18789338If i end up buying it, Tobacco VanilleOtherwise probably Encrin de Fumée or Ambre Russe.making me realize i don't really have a gourmand/warm spicy frag in my collection
>>18788953been eyeing it for so long. i love lavender and i enjoy musky and animalic frags. can you tell me more about it?
>>18789496smells really amateurish and off balance
its 14 degrees C outside. sunny. what should i put on? >Jizz Club>Egoiste>Platinum Egoiste
>>18789502Layton
Help me out. The thing that I like about Aventus is that it has a fresh lawn-like smell and the popular clones go more into the smoky side of that scent. What clones have a fresher take?
>>18789497it really doesn't tho
So I just started my journey:>read about frag on /frag/>go to store>test it>love it>buy it>wear it>love it>read of another frag>go to store>test it>love it>buy it>wear it>love it......WHEN DOES THIS END??? It's like an addiction. Like I want nothing more than buy another frag.
What spooky fragrances are we wearing tonight?
>>18789516Urban Racoon
>>18789516
>>18789515It doesn't, welcome to the club.
is fragrance hobby for low iq people? i see a lot of black people who are into fragrances and i dont want to be associated with them :(
>>18789516I’m a priest, so AvignonIt’s the polar ends of the bell curve, the super dumb and the intelligent. The normies just buy a singular fragrance and enjoy it.
>>18789541The second paragraph was for >>18789530
>>18789530it can be since its another way they can be loud and announce their presence
>>18789530Caring about fragrance as an extension of fashion and personal style is respectable. Being a fragrance collector who goes into credit card debt to get the rush of spending makes you gigalow IQ
>>18789530I don't know but spending $350 on Baccarat Rogue 540 so a girl can *maybe* compliment you definitely is.
>>18789530There does seem to be a lot of weird or "crusty" people in this hobby. Just look at the average fragrance Youtuber or content creator.Jeremy was pretty much the only one with good genetics, and even he went complete schizo mode.I think it also depends on what your underlying reasons for sniffing are. If you're the kind of fraghead that is obsessed with getting "MUH COMPLIMENTZ" or thinking fragrances will compensate for your balding/fatness, that probably lands you in the "low IQ" category. If you just sniff things for your own enjoyment and don't care much about what others think, I'd argue it's slightly better.
