How do you style work/engineer jackets without looking like a larper?
>>18786595both of these faggots look like faggots
>>18786595only wear 2nd hand cahartt items with company logos still on themno company logo and youll get called out as a larper everytime

LARP is fine, actually.
If you don't actually work a trade, its not worth wearing them. Just buy a second hand Carhart jacket if you don't work outside regularly, you're going to look like a dork with a crispy new canvas jacket and weak skelly wrists. Also, stay the fuck away from waxed canvas, that shit is so fucking gay
>LARP>costume>performativeThe three favorite words of the brain broken tik tok addled zoomerSo fucking insecure that you can’t just wear a perfectly normal jacket
>>18787928If you are wearing a crispy, unbeaten heavy waxed canvas and you aren't even using it for work then yeah you can use all of those descriptors in an extremely accurate manner
>>18786595You don't, dummy.
>>18786595People who wear work jackets as a non-larper choose their clothes according to what's useful to them, rather than just what looks nice. A non-larper wouldn't wear sweatpants, which would hurt to kneel in, instead opting for a thick pair of jeans/work pants. A non-larper wouldn't wear running shoes, because those don't protect him, instead opting for something rugged, that'll protect him if he drops something heavy on them. This does of course mean you'd have to center your entire outfit around the one theme, but that's the cost of attaining it.
You need hands covered in scars and calluses to not look like a larping fag
>>18787929I can think of three words that would describe you in an extremely accurate manner Literally no one in real life cares about this dude, just wear the fucking jacket“Oh hmm that guys waxed duck canvas Carhartt milsurp repro chore coat doesn’t have quite enough of a patina on it to be fully authentic to the blue collar experience, how utterly performative, everyone point and laugh”
>>18786595As with all workwear and heritage you have to break the clothing in for 1-2 years
