How to pick a pair of glasses that don't make me look gay (larger, rounder) or like a chud (smaller, square)?

ask a girl what would look good on you
>>
What i do when my glasses are too thick.
My eyesight is -16 and i have 3 options.
1)wear glasses and look freaky with how glasses make my eyes extra small
2)look habdsome with contacts but they make my eyes hurt daily use
3)dont wear glasses/contacts with people and accept fact i cant see anyones face. It all looks like one big blub of meat. I can see beard or hair but details forget it.
Im insecure

How does a glasses wearer avoid the numale look? I don't even know if the numale look is down to a specific shape of glasses, but you know it when you see it.

I suppose you'd have to pick ones that are neither too large nor too small, nor too square or too round.
