Who makes effay barefoot/wide toe box shoes that are available in the US and not outrageously expensive?
I started wearing Altras a few months ago to alleviate hallux rigidus and it worked but now I can't wear anything but wide toe box shoes. And most of them look like gym shoes. What I really want are some nice leather boots or loafers. Anyone else in the same boat? I found this brand but they're expensive as shit and don't accept returns since they're in Yurop.

Hit or miss in terms of looks imo but Jim Green.

    vans wide last

they're wide enough, almost zero drop, and the stack height is right in the "for concrete" barefoot shoe range. they look fine. also easily purchasable, returnable, and replaceable. and they're like $60. this is where i settled after trying a number of barefoot brands.

all the barefoot brands are of questionable quality and pretty bad value pricing because their scale is so low. they all ship from some weird yurop country and are all pumped out of some white label factory in china. outside of some nameless amazon chink brands that are liek $35, you're just not gonna find good value in barefoot shoes. and as youve noticed most of them look like shit.

the only barefoot brand ive stuck with is bahe but theyre very specifically gym/running shoes and not something i wear casually. the medium stack height ones are nice if youre a city dweller on hard surfaces

Keen my bro. I have some of their Jasper's and the leather sneakers and they look even better in person than the photos. I wish they had non clown shoe loafers though

How do you even wear these with if your shoe size is above EU42/US8.5?? Literally makes you look like pic related (even more so than you normally do). Having atypical feet sucks so bad.

This question gets asked all the time (and probably by the same poster who just wants to talk about his personal foot fetish, to be honest)

The simple answer is: there is none. You can have wide flat shoes or you can have fashionable shoes. You don't get to have both. The best course of action is to wear your ugly shoes most days and limit wearing of your good-looking shoes to situations where your looks matter.

Unfortunately, the answer is “not really anyone”

The problem you’ll probably run into if you’re making this thread is dilemmas of a high instep. Shoes have to look proportional and longer to look effay.

If you ask, say White’s, to make you a custom boot you’ll get an abomination because the proportions get fucked if you just have a measuring tape. So avoid non hands on feet methods.

Bespoke shoe makers avoid this by having special toe boxes that blend better with the shoe itself.

    ANYWAY
    >sneakers? New balance. Altria.
    >Dress shoes? Allen Edmonds.
    >Boots? Eh, if you like moc toes, I’d do ll bean.
